Highlights and Progress from the Garden This Week

In a recent update from a home garden, the focus is on the growth and harvest of various fruits and vegetables. A sweet cantaloupe was picked, signaling that it was ripe due to the wilting of the leaves closest to it. Additionally, there are many watermelons on the way, with a couple of cantaloupes expected to be ready for harvest soon. These observations highlight the signs of ripeness in cantaloupes and the excitement of gathering fresh produce from the garden.

The tomato plants have finally started to thrive, with hopes of seeing some fruit soon. The okra is also progressing well and is anticipated to be ready for picking in the coming days. While the squash plants are not performing as well as in previous years, they do have flowers, which indicates that squash may soon be on the way. However, cucumbers were not mentioned this week, suggesting there may not be any currently growing in the garden.

Blooming Insights: Cultivating Growth in Our Garden Community

hello and welcome back to my Channel or if you’re new here I’m so happy you’re here my name is Britney and I cook all things gluten-free so let’s get in the kitchen and start cooking actually let’s go check the garden first we just mowed the yard yesterday and so I want to check on the.

Garden and give you a weekly update I’m finding several watermelon that are sprouting out and starting to grow you can see how tiny they are compared to my hand here’s a watermelon that has just grown this size since we had harvested the last watermelon and this watermelon is growing quite rapidly because this.

One was not here when we harvest the other watermelon as you can see that there are a lot of watermelon that are starting to come out from the flowers that have been sprouting we should be getting a lot of watermelon in the next couple of weeks we also still have a lot more flowers showing that will start producing more.

Fruit we have a couple of cantaloupes that are almost ready to be picked this one is about ready to be picked you can see that it’s almost ready to be picked because see these leaves they’re the closest to the fruit and they’re starting to wit and turn brown and withering away that’s when you.

Know it’s probably time to be picked these okra are also growing in nicely and will be picked in the next day or so our tomato plant has really sprouted up and started growing really good in the last week or so we’ve had a lot of rain and I didn’t think it was going to come in but it is really coming in now.

There is no fruit on it but I’m sure it will start growing fruit here in the next couple of weeks the squash hasn’t done so well this year as it has in years’s past but I do have a few flowering and so I should be getting some squash soon I’m going to go back to that cantaloupe that has the leaves that are.

Witing away that are closest to it I think I’m going to go ahead and try to pick it and cut it up today I’m going to bring it in and give it a good bath and then we’re going to cut it up this is the first year that we have planted the watermelon and the canalou.

Where we currently live we planted these before we’ve planted cantaloupe before in a previous um house that we lived in and it only grew one so this year we’ve had um I think this is our our third cantaloupe that we’ve picked this year so um we also have a few more growing so we’re doing pretty well with that I’m going to finish cutting this up.
