Gluten Free and Dairy Free Diet for our Autistic Son

Discover how a gluten-free and dairy-free diet transformed our autistic son’s health and behavior, promoting well-being and happiness.

Exploring Dietary Changes for Improved Health and Behavior

Parents of children with autism often explore various dietary approaches to support their child’s health and well-being. One common focus is on gluten-free and dairy-free diets, which some families believe can help alleviate certain symptoms associated with autism. The rationale behind this dietary choice stems from the idea that certain food sensitivities may influence behavior, digestion, and overall health in children on the autism spectrum.

Implementing a gluten-free and dairy-free diet requires careful planning and consideration. Parents typically seek out alternative food options that provide essential nutrients while avoiding gluten and dairy. This may involve incorporating a variety of whole foods, such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and gluten-free grains. Many families find that making these adjustments not only supports their child’s dietary needs but also helps create a more inclusive meal environment that the entire family can enjoy.
