Namaste welcome to ca’s Kitchen today I’m making proo milit idly to make pret idly I washed and soaked one cup of Ural these are my proo millets I washed them and dried on a towel now I’m going to grind this I just ground them in my regular.

blender after grinding the proo millets I sifted to separate the co raava now I’m going to grind this coarse raava again to get some fine raava and here you can see this is fine Raa mixed with some fine flour so you don’t have to see it again to separate the fine flour it is okay to have some.

Fine flour in it so I ground this coarse raava again and sifting it so here is the coarse raava again so this is how you repeat the process to get fine idly rava so here I ground my soaked oral into a fine paste to this one cup of Ural batter I’m adding 2 cups of romet raava that I made and some salt now mix it nicely with your hand while.

Mixing add enough water to get a loose consistency batter here you can notice I’m not soaking the rava separately I just added it to the oral batter so it will soak in here that is why I added more water and made the batter so this promate raava is going to absorb some of the water from this batter after some time you can notice that it gets a.

Little thick so if you are making it first time watch carefully you don’t want to make it too loose or make it too thick if the batter is too thick the idly won’t be soft after mixing the batter very well keep it in a warm place overnight usually I put it in the oven with the light on so it will ferment perfectly but unfortunately I forgot to.

Turn on the light in the oven the next morning when I see it did not ferment that much it still fermented a little because the oven is warm but if you turn on the light it ferments more so here I wanted to make that point the oven light makes difference but we can still make idly so I greased the idly pans with the oil and poured the batter into the mold.

I steamed it in the idly cooker for the first 10 minutes in the medium high flame and then 10 minutes in the low flame do not put the weight or the Wizzle on the idly cooker while you are steaming the idlies when it is done turn off the stove and let it cool down for 5 minutes then remove the idly plates from the.

Cooker and slowly remove them from the molds my pret idlies came out good they are nice and soft and also they little grainy I like when the idly is grainy let me know if you also like your IDL grainy you can serve it hot with your favorite Chutney or sambar today I made sambar for my idlies thank you all for watching my video so now you know how to.
