Costco Finds: Embracing the Gluten-Free Lifestyle

Hi welcome back to the channel Michelle and today I’m going to be sharing a Costco haul so everything I’m going to show you is gluten-free with the exception of one item which I’ll talk about later but if you’re new to my channel we are a gluten-free family of five my youngest daughter has celiac disease so we are gluten-free for.

Medical reasons and I find Costco does have a really good variety of gluten-free items so I’m going to turn you around and show you what I got but first I spent $24.47 and some of this is not food item so I’ll show you that but we haven’t been to Costco in a really long time so a lot of it is stock up stuff as well a.

Quick overview of everything so I’m going to start with the non- food items I had to pick up some things for the school year so I picked up some paper and these were on sale for $8 a piece and they are 800 sheets they did have the big like Copy Type paper in the big box but I wanted something a little bit better quality so.

I got three of those this was $1 and we need dry race markers big and small for the new school year so I picked those up these are some reusable food storage bags we take because my daughter is celiac we take a lot of food with us places and I like having the reusable bags especially since we avoid things like plastic these are the silicone I.

Believe and they come in a variety of sizes my kids needed new brush heads for their toothbrushes so this will last us probably almost an entire year but this was like $54 I want to say but there’s 10 brush heads in there gloves this is what we use for cleaning we needed to get printer ink this is the first time I’ve had to.

Refill the color ink in my Epson printer in 2 years and it was only $50 for this entire package so I don’t need to refill the black just the color they had these on sale for 20 bucks so my daughter picked these out for herself now to food items lunch meat got salami and then they had the chicken breast ham and roast beef.

And what I like is that they are all glutenfree because lunch meat can’t have gluten in it my seven-year-old uh wanted baby bells so we got a big one of these and I do have a child that is dairy sensitive and just so you know that Target carries the dairyfree baby bells which are actually really good and I like them so we do have the Target baby.

Bells as well in our fridge but these are for everyone else we got this cuz it looked really good I think it was $17 and it’s 2 lb so that’ll make a nice meal some drinks so this is the drink my kids picked out the poppy and it is glutenfree and then I got this I’ve been looking for protein options for my.

Oldest cuz she’s really active and she’s going through growth spurts and I got this specifically because I believe it’s says on the back that it is glutenfree now it’s not certified glutenfree but it says glutenfree the problem with that as I was looking at it this is one of the things so it says CER or say glutenfree.

On it if you look at the ingredient list right here is wheat grass barley grass oat grass now for someone with celiac disease technically if you can get the barley before it sprouts or goes to seed it’s gluten-free but as soon as it goes to seed there’s gluten contamination and the chances that they.

Are able to get every single piece of barley grass that they harvest without it going to seed is very low so there is a very high risk of cross-contamination in this and it just I just want to point this out cuz it’s really frustrating as a family who has some was celiac disease and has to be mindful of that this project is labeled.

Gluten-free I looked up organ they do have practices to help ensure that it meets the 20 you know parts per million to qualify to have the gluten free label but it’s not certified gluten-free and for someone with celiac disease with wheat barley and oats being in here there’s a very high risk of contamination so everyone else in the.

Family can drink it but my 7-year-old who was Celia can’t and I just want to point it that that out that it’s really hard to be a Celiac sometimes this I got for myself I really like this this is also gluten-free and for the price of there’s eight in here and at my local grocery store in Walmart for four it was the same price so I stocked up on those.

These are really good anything by simple Mills we really enjoyed they’re like graham crackers and then bobos I’m so glad they had both sets of these in the kids love these These are the pure and burn jelly bobos and the apple pie and the strawberry all these are certified glutenfree and then my younger two do like the fruit and veggie.

Squishies over here my kids saw this and we’re excited because macaroons are usually gluten-free because they’re made with almond flour but check your ingredient list got some avocados some apples got some blueberries some organic strawberries and some cherries I really like these they’re really.

Allergy friendly we get the made good half or mixed berry half a chocolate chip we got the teriyaki pineapple chicken meatballs these are really good and a quick meal the chaban sugar for everyone that can do dairy in my house found these pork tamali I thought these sounded really good we’ll see if the.

Kids eat them because they say spicy on them but I really enjoy tamali so I got them for myself this is the granola I picked up I’m really excited about this cuz I absolutely love chocolate chip cookies and it is NSF certified which is one of the highest certifications you can for.

Gluten-free so we’ll put that in gr uh in yogurt again simple Mills almond flour these are our go-to crackers picked out some the kids picked out some fruit rolls and then I was looking for protein bars and it’s hard to find protein bars that are certified gluten- free but also don’t have milk in them because my.

Four-year-old and I don’t do well with dairy so I don’t like having to put things in different places cuz certain kids can’t have it if I can I really want to have something everybody can have and the kids all like these flavors from the last time we got it got this big bag of mixed veggies my husband’s going on a trip.

Next week and he really likes these and he’s going to be in Louisiana so it’s going to be really hot and humid so these will come in handy again these are dairy free and certified gloen free everyone really likes them we always get our glue-free sprouted rolled oats you can see has the.

Beyond Celiac certification with oats you really want to make sure you’re getting Glo free certified oats because of cross contamination issues got some mayonnaise some olive oil some Jam maple syrup peanut butter big thing of vanilla cuz we do a lot of baking obviously cuz we’re gluten-free I need a.

New thing of garlic these last forever some avocado oil spray we have a air fry and this really helps crisp up the things barbecue sauce and the hindes pack for we’re going to be camping at the end of the month so I got that for this but for condiments things like ketchup mustard relish mayonnaise.

Jam Jam they can have gluten in them so be mindful of that sweet baby Ray gluten- free gluten free hindes depending on which type you get glutenfree and then back here we got some organic sweet potato fries these are really good and then we got the gluten-free chicken nuggets but that is everything I got at.

Costco and if you are a member of the Celia Community I would love to hear your opinion on this would you consider it safe at all or is it a no-o cuz the way I see it right now it’s a no-o for my 7-year-old but I’d love to hear your opinions if you are a part of the CC Community not someone just that eats Gloom free for health reasons or Diet.

Reasons but or medically you have to eat Gloom free I’d love to hear your thoughts on that but that is everything I picked up at Costco
