Slash Your Grocery Bill: Extreme Budgeting for Gluten & Lactose Free Living

Welcome back everybody to another grocery shopping day for anybody new hello my name is Meg I am lactose intolerant I am gluten intolerant and I eat on a low fod map diet my husband he does not this is the third week of my extreme grocery budget challenge normally my grocery budget is between $300 and.

$250 but this month I decided to cut the lower number in half and actually try to stay below 12 and is a little bit extra I’m kind of aiming to stay around $100 for the entire month so what did I get this week and was I able to stay under my budget so far I’ve been successful but let’s look at what I got this week I went to.

Four stores I went to bashes I went to fries my local Kroger store Safeway and windco we can go ahead and start with what I got at Bash is over here potatoes 5 lb for 99 so I grabbed a bag oranges were on sale for 77 cents a pound so this is almost three lbs of oranges these things these are the smallest ones I could find they’re huge and then I.

Also grabbed one lemon uh we can move on to what I got at Safeway next they had corn on sale 20 cents an ear so I grabbed three they also had cheese once again on sale with coupon 1.27 so I grabbed two then what I got at fries my local Kroger store tostadas I love these tostadas they’re like my favorite.

They’re $159 for 10 of them and then I also grabbed another packet of tofu sents the best price on tofu that I can find is at fries then we will move on to where the bulk of this haul came from which is wico who was absolutely winning on the price of produce this week it was it was great tomatoes I got some roma tomatoes they were a great deal.

Zucchinis also a really good deal avocados the cheapest I’ve found them in a while some garlic a greenbell pepper some sea salt and turmeric or turmeric whichever you prefer this is about 30 some cents worth and this is enough to definitely fill up my jar that I have it’s just the deals at wico are amazing a can of garbanzo beans a can of pinto.

Beans that right there is about a half a pound of decaf coffee and then finally lactose free fat free milk wico officially now the cheapest place I can find lactose-free milk U without a sale in my area and that’s what I got at the grocery store this week this week unlike the previous weeks I did not get any meat that’s not because there wasn’t any.

Good deals on it it is because my freezer is absolutely stuffed and I don’t have any room for it but that did allow me to splurge on a couple of things instead this week like coffee and very expensive lactose-free milk but what was my final totals for the four stores that I went to this week well first off at bashes I spent.

$388 at fries $328 Safeway $314 and finally at windco $13.24 that brings the grand total for this week to $23 54 and my grand in total so far for the extreme budget challenge $718 that means that I still have.

$281 left and one grocery shopping trip left for the month so I think I’m doing amazing if you guys agree give the video a thumbs up if you enjoyed today’s grocery shopping haul and want to see more like it don’t forget to subscribe and I will see you guys back on the next grocery shopping day bye guys
