Deliciously Deceptive: A Guilt-Free Twist on a Hawaiian Classic!

today in the kitchen we’re making spam mues I have some rice going I’m doing two cups of rice in a medium Skillet I have it on medium to high heat we’re going to put the spam in here I’m going to heat up the pan and then we’re going to use gluten-free soy sauce and I’m going to drizzle that into the.

Pan and then just let that get hot and then we’re going to take this spam and open that up and cut it up into thin slices and then I’m just going to eyeball it and cut about A4 of an inch thick of the spam and then I have the soy sauce that I heated up and I’m just going to go ahead.

And place the spam into the skillet some recipes call for the soy sauce and then about a half a cup of sugar and then you get a sweeter taste to this however we just like to have it in the pan and have it with the soy sauce and then you just get kind of a saltier flavor to the spam muui so I will not be adding sugar to to this I’m.

Just going to use the soy sauce and then once I have it all in the skillet I’m just going to drizzle over some more gluten-free soy sauce and then let this cook on this side for about 5 minutes and then we’re going to flip them over the rice is getting almost done so I’m going to take that off the heat.

Because I don’t want it to be too hot when we’re assembling the massis together you do want it to be warm though so that it will help the seaweed to stick together it’s been about 5 minutes so I’m going to go ahead and flip these over I’m going to let these cook for about another 5 minutes and then they’ll.

Be ready for us to assemble the M subes okay these are done so I’m going to go ahead and take these off even though that spam is already cooked we just like to have it with the flavor of the soy sauce and have it seared I have the Sushi Nori seaweed wraps and we’re going to take those out of the package and then I’m going to cut.

Those in half and then I’m just going to fold them long way so I can kind of Judge where the halfway mark is and then just take the knife and cut them in half and then to assemble the spam misses I have a Spam Missi mold and you can uh.

Get this off of Amazon or you can get it at Walmart or Target I actually got it at the ABC Store in Hawaii I’m just going to put the seaweed in side and then I’m going to press the spam down into the mold and then I’m going to take the rice and have a spoonful of rice and then I’m.

Going to press that down on top of the spam and then I’m going to push down the seaweed and then I’m going to take the pressing plate and press down as hard as I can and then by pushing down on that it’s going to make a seal onto the seaweed and I’m just going to pull the mold up over and then you will have the.

Symbl spam muui and then I just kind of press on it and because the spam and rice are still warm then that seaweed is going to make a sill into it and hold it together so now you have an assembled massui and then you just continue making the rest of the spam and rice you can put the rice in first if you want and.

Then the spam it still works either way or you can even lay the CED flat and then put the mold on top and then add the spam and rice and then once you pull the mold off of of that and then wrap around the seaweed so there’s several different ways that you can make it just whichever.

One you feel more comfortable with assembling the bamas subbi so I’m going to finish making the rest of the spam muis and then they’ll be ready to serve spam is a canned cooked meat product made from ground pork and processed P that people tend to have.

Strong opinions about people either love it or hate it we like to have it every once in a while uh we my husband was stationed in Hawaii and so we did eat this often when we were stationed there and now I can have it with gluten-free soy sauce and um well to be honest this is probably the only way that I will eat Spam so like I said a lot of people.

Either love it or hate it um but we do have this every once in a while we’ll have Hawaiian Feud and then we’ll have this as a side so I have these all assembled and then I’m just going to put them on to the plate and then they will be ready to serve you can find the full recipe in the description box down.

Below enjoy dinner is served thank y’all for watching and don’t forget to like And subscribe and let us know if you make Spam missis we’ll see you next time in the kitchen oh
