Delightfully Simple: Whip Up Irresistible Blueberry Bagels in a Flash—No Yeast, No Gluten, Just Pure Deliciousness!

We’re making homemade blueberry bagels with fresh blueberries that don’t require any yeast or Rising they’re high in protein with Greek yogurt and can be made with a variety of flour I’m showing you how to make them full of flavor with oat flour and gluten-free flour hello my name is Nicole Bonia and if you love healthier recipes for our favorite foods.

Then you are in the right place to make these really easy Bagels we’re going to start with Greek yogurt and you will need to use plain Greek yogurt unfortunately regular yogurt will not work in this recipe so I’m going to add half a cup of plain Greek yogurt to my mixing bowl and you’re welcome to jot down these ingredients as we go along or.

You can click on the link that’s in the video description below and that will take you to my website with the recipe and all the details next for some natural sweetness I’m going to add 2 tbspoon of maple syrup 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and this is optional but for extra flavor I’m going to add an e/ of a teaspoon of some almond extract and.

Then I’ll just simply stir this together with my little whisk until it’s well Blended now you can make these Bagels using a variety of flowers including allpurpose flour or wheat flour my favorite combination is using mostly oat flour but then adding in a little bit of gluten-free flour just to improve the texture so I’m going to start with half.

A cup of some oat flour and you can use store by or just grind it yourself in your blender using oldfashioned oats or quick oats and then I’m going to add a four of a cup of some gluten-free flour and you’ll want to make sure it does not have any xantham gum in it then I add 1 teaspoon of baking powder and a/ 4 teaspoon salt and then I’m just going to.

Take take a sturdy spatula and I’m going to stir these together in my bowl and I like using a spatula cuz you can just kind of mash it all together until you have all of the flour Incorporated now it’s very important to get the right consistency with this bagel dough and you’ll know it’s the right consistency when you can scrape it off of your.

Spatula onto the side of your bowl and it’s still just a little bit sticky when you touch it see I get a little bit on my fingers if your dough is not this dry you can add just a little bit more flour till it is and if it’s a little too dry then you can just add a little bit more Greek yogurt to adjust it and now we’re ready for our blueberries now when it.

Comes to blueberries you have several options you could use fresh frozen or even dried blueberries now if you use larger sized blueberries they are going to make your bagel a little bit more chunky like this and you will have those nice big plump blueberries inside of your bagels another option is to use these dried blueberries which are.

Similar to raisins and you can see how they’re going to incorporate into your bagel dough a little bit more but they won’t be quite as big and juicy as the Frozen blueberries so if you are going to use frozen blueberries I like to use the wild blueberries cuz they’re a little bit smaller in size so I’m going to add a four a cup of my wild.

Blueberries and then I’ll just take my spatula and I’m going to mash them right into my dough and then you can decide how much of that purple color you want to have in your Dough because the more you mash the blueberries through your dough the more they’re going to spread that color personally I like to have more of that purple color so I’m going.

To go ahead and work with these for a minute until that color is spread throughout o that looks beautiful now I’ll just kind of mash it all together and then visually divide it into roughly four even portions now if you decide to use the dry blueberries but you still want some of that purple color in your bagel you can add just a few frozen.

Blueberries to a bowl and then put this in your microwave for about 20 30 seconds until they’re melted and then kind of mash it together with the spoon so they get nice and juicy and then you can add it to the dough with the dry blueberries and you’ll get that beautiful purple color now to bake our Bagels I’ve just taken a cookie sheet.

And then lined it with a piece of parchment paper and that just makes it really easy for getting the bagels on and off of the pan now this dough is a little bit sticky but we don’t want to add any more flour to it to handle it so instead we’re going to put a little bit of oil on our hands so they’re nice and greasy and then we can easily handle our.

Bagel dough if you could use more healthy inspiration on a regular basis I invite you to join my email list all you have to do is click on the link that’s in the video description below and that is the best way for us to stay connected so I’m going to pour about a teaspoon of some oil onto my hands just kind of rub that together and then scoop out one.

Portion of my bagel dough then I’m just going to gently roll it into a ball and then place it on my pan and just kind of gently press it out into a nice circular shape and then to form the hole I’m just going to use my finger and poke it right down in the middle just kind of wiggle it around and we have a beautiful shaped little Bagel I’m going to shape it so.

It’s about an inch tall and we’ll just continue for the remaining Bagels now I’m making four kind of small to medium siiz Bagels but you could certainly make these into three larger Bagels if you like and you can also double or triple the recipe if you need to now to get that Golden Crust on our Bagels we want to add an egg wash so I’ve just.

Separated one egg white from the yolk and then I’m just going to brush the egg white onto the top of each of the bagels I’m just going to use my little pastry brush but you can also use your fingers if that’s all you have now this is optional but to add a little bit of Sparkle and some sweetness to the tops of the bagels I’m going to go ahead and.

Sprinkle on a little bit of turbinado sugar and it’s just a really large granulated sugar that is really fun to use but you could also use regular sugar if that’s all you have or you could omit it if you prefer well these look gorgeous and they’re ready to go into a 350° oven for anywhere between about 24 to 27 minutes now if you use frozen.

Blueberries you’ll want to be on the higher end because they’re starting out a little bit colder whereas if you use the dyed blueberries then you can do it a little bit less but just keep an eye on them and pull them out as soon as they have a nice golden brown color all around the top of the bagel well here are our Bagels out of the oven and they.

Look gorgeous you can see how the blueberries are nice and plump and they have this really beautiful Golden Crust on top now you want to let these cool completely before you slice them I have one here that I baked earlier you can see how easy that is to cut through and it has the soft spongy texture on the inside but it’s nice and crispy on the.

Outside and my favorite way to enjoy these is with some whipped cream cheese on top M that looks so good that is delicious using the frozen blueberries are so fresh and not something you typically get from a store by bagel and I love the flavor from that mix of the.

Oat and the gluten-free flour and having a little sprinkle of sugar on top is just so tasty and what I love most is that it’s made with clean natural ingredients which means I’m going to feel just as good even after I eat it and I love that I can batch prep these and then store them either in the fridge or in the freezer and my family can.

Enjoy them all week long and I also want to thank you for hanging out with me today in my kitchen I’ve included the link to this full recipe and it’s in the video description below and that will take you to my website gentl tummy. comom and I also invite you to like And subscribe to my channel and if you know someone else who you think would love.
