Deliciously Deceptive Treats Packed with Nutrients!
Hidden vegetables are a clever way to incorporate more nutrition into our diets, and they aren’t just for kids. One delightful example is a brownie recipe that includes grated carrot, making it a perfect treat for those who want to enjoy a sweet dessert without compromising on health. The addition of carrot not only enhances the moisture of the brownies but also provides a subtle sweetness that blends seamlessly into the rich chocolate flavor.
A family taste test revealed that none of the participants could identify the hidden ingredient. This goes to show that with the right recipe, even the pickiest eaters may not notice the extra veggies. The success of these brownies highlights the creative potential of sneaking healthy ingredients into beloved recipes, making it easier for families to enjoy treats while reaping the benefits of added nutrition.
Indulge Guilt-Free: Discover the Secret Veggie Boost in Every Bite!
Going to make some brownies with some hidden veggies um this one I’m want to do my usual brownie recipe and then just add one grated carrot in there so it won’t affect the flavor it won’t affect the texture I mean there’ll be pieces of carrot around but nothing major um and there you have it like brownies with a bit of hidden veggies I love hidden.
Veggies I’m big fan so I’m going to start with 140 G of butter melting it in a sauce bin and then I’ll put the drying ingredients in a bowl so in my bowl I’m going to put in half a cup of plain flour that’s uh glutenfree and half a teaspoon of baking powder also putting in one cup of sugar and 5 tablespoons of cocoa powder you.
Open a new packet and while the butter is still melting I’m going to get a carrot and peel it and Grate it just going to do the one carrot this is actually quite a big carrot but that’s fine I might weigh it just out of curious see how much is this.
Carrot 165 G without having peeled it so now into the brownie mixture I’m going to add the melted butter stir that through then two eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla stir that through and then I’m going to add the carrot at the end adding in the carrot now so you can notice the carrot now but.
Once it’s cooked you won’t be able to notice anything got my trusty tray I’ve just sprayed it put some baking paper on it and now I’ll just put the brownies in and spread them out and then they’ll go into the oven so I’ve just um turned the oven on at 180° C couple of waxs now it is ready got.
Brownie all over me it’s ready for the oven it’s going to go in for well we’ll check it at 20 minutes and then it might need maybe 5 more minutes but around 20 is generally good the brownies have been in the oven for 20 minutes I think they might need a little bit longer but I’m just going to.
Check them they’re looking good but yeah still a little bit runnier so 5 more minutes in the oven and then they should be ready I reckon the brownies are done now here they are Yep they’re looking much better now so I’m going to leave it to cool in the pan and then um take it out of the pan and put it onto the.
Rack yum and yeah you can’t tell at all that there’s carrot in there and it shouldn’t make any difference to the flavor or the taste or the texture eyel so yeah I’m going to flip my brownie out I’m just going to use a knife to make sure it’s not um stuck on the edges it’s not so I’m going to do what I often do which is flip it onto.
Something and then flip it back onto the rack because I don’t want the lines on the top so hope all this works here we go oh tiny little bit got left behind there that’s okay going to remove the baking paper and flip it onto the wire rack and now I’m going to leave it to cool completely.
