Discovering Delicious Delights: A Gluten-Free Culinary Adventure Through Oslo

Hello I’m Becca and I’m a gluten-free girly and I recently traveled to Oslo in Norway and I wanted to share everything I ate as a gluten-free girly in Oslo so on our first morning we tried to go to the oldest Bakery in Norway but turns out it didn’t open till 10:00 a.m. and at 10: we had an Excursion book so.

We had to skip that and we went to a different restaurant but they only resold muffins and I didn’t fancy a muffin for breakfast so we skipped breakfast and headed straight for lunch so we’ve come to Cafe cathedral which I’ve seen on find glutenfree the app that I always use when I’m traveling they have lots of glutenfree options.

Apparently I I think that people on the app have said that things are labeled in in the menu but we’ll investigate that um but I think I already know what I’m going to have I’m going to have the reindeer because reindeer is a specialty here in Norway and I want to at least try some Norwegian food whilst we’re here um and I’ll give you my reaction.

And we’ll see how we do so on the menu things are labeled with numbers you can see just there it says one and nine and one is wheat and two is barley so everything is labeled which makes it easier to see and also they make all the pieces glutenfree anyway this is what I’m going to have the Rena reindeer and vegetables so this is what the meal.

Looked like when it arrived it came with a sauce and some vegetables and the sauce was very nice and this meal cost 545 Norwegian Crona which is 38 so pretty pricey so the food has arrived and so is the drink I’ve gone for a porn star Martini but this smells incredible and I’m very excited to try some reindeer I’ve also got a sauce but.

I’m not quite sure what the sauce is this is what it looks like quite chewy kind of like lamb it’s quite like um lamb I would say no lamb beef which is the chy one both oh that is good nice sauce i’ got potatoes as well yeah highly recommend I’m not going.

To lie think it was quite expensive it’s good and at the end of the meal we decided to order a gluten-free and vegan brownie so we shared that and this was the total cost for the meal including Toby’s food and drinks too good it’s decent so for dinner I booked us a table at a restaurant called Olivia.

This is a chain in Norway and there’s a few in Oslo that you could go to and it’s really nice inside it had a really cute Vibe but it was quite busy so I recommend booking um but yeah I liked the vibe inside in the menu it says all the pizzas and pastas can be made gluten-free which is amazing and I also ordered a cocktail from the cocktail.

Menu we started with some olives and these were the drinks that we ordered and then for the main meal I chose a pasta dish with chicken bacon and something else but I’ll be honest I can’t remember what it was but it was tasty it was so delicious I really highly recommend this one and it also came with some gluten-free bread which.

Is great so we’ve come to a place called salt it’s kind of giving like flat iron Square Vibes or what’s the other one right by London Bridge or vinegar yard at London Bridge so it’s like that kind of outdoor drinks outside Vibe um however it has just started to pour it down with rain so we’re currently sat under a small amount of shelter so on.

The second day we also tried to go to Baker Hansen for breakfast but it turns out it was shut on a Sunday so we skipped breakfast and headed straight for lunch so we come for lunch at a place called Pepe’s Pizza which seems to be like a chain of pizza restaurants here in Oslo might even be a across the whole of Norway not sure um but they do.

Pizza by the slice so you can just grab it and take away or you can do what we did which is order a one person pizza or you can order a 2 to three person Pizza depends how many you are they also do a gluten-free pizza base which is great and that’s the reason why we’re here um is also highly rated on findy gluten-free so that’s good to know but.

It’s literally just opened it’s just gone midday the one across the road from where we currently are so we’re inside the station the one that’s just outside inside of the station was shut until 1:00 p.m. so just know that if you’re peckish at midday because we skip breakfast come to the one inside the train station but they’ve given us one.

Of these which will vibrate when our pizzas are ready so they’re made like fresh which is nice and we’ll do a little taste test when it arrives so our little timer thingy has gone off and Toby is just bringing over the pizza oh it’s big that’s bigger than I was thinking it was going to be um thank you and I’ve got a little gluten-free flag.

To prove that it’s gluten-free so that’s good and mine cost 218 Norwegian Crona and Toby’s was 228 you have to pay 30 Crona extra for the gluten-free base but yeah together for R2 pizzas and one drink was about £36 was it so 54 Crona let’s give it an eat and see how it tastes Fork’s weird pizza for is that a.

Thing it’s not bad I would to say it’s the best glutenfree pizza I’ve had you know what the Domino’s gluten-free sha Pizza base is really good um but it’s nice I like it I’m going to continue eating it one thing I discovered during this trip was that on the find me gluten-free app you can now categorize restaurants by airports which is really.

Handy and so in the Oslo Airport we found this place and I got a cheese and ham sandwich and a muffin the sandwich was not great but the muffin was delicious I wish I got two and that brings us to the end of this video I hope you enjoyed it if you did please do give it a thumbs up and subscribe I’m trying to make more content like this.

When I go traveling as I know it’ll be super helpful for a lot of people but if you want to see what we got up to in Oslo hit that subscribe button because that will be my next video hopefully thanks for watching and I’ll hopefully see you soon bye
