Hey YouTube guess what I’m super excited because today we’re going to be making glutenfree banana bread first you’re going to need three bananas just dump them in there it doesn’t matter if you peel off the little like stringy things cuz you’re not even going to taste it once it’s all.

Cooked and it helps if you have three large bananas so make sure that they’re on the larger side it doesn’t matter if they’re fully ripe or not um you’ll just need to add a little more sugar to make it sweeter some people think that you need completely rip.

Bananas but I don’t really agree with that I think banana bread is just as delicious with The Greener bananas so you don’t need to wait for your bananas to ripen now we’re going to grease up our baking sheet with a little bit of olive oil so we’re just going to take a little piece of parchment.

Paper and we’re going to smooth it out like this all around our metal baking dish I love the smell of olive oil by the way it’s always good to use a good quality olive oil do some research because not all olive oil is real olive.

Oil apparently okay so now we’re going to take our parchment paper we’re going to line it like this in between this was obviously never my forte but you know it doesn’t really matter it doesn’t have to be.

Perfect just make sure it’s nice and lined now we’re going to mash the bananas and as you can see I’m using a potato masher because I find that this is the easiest way to get the bananas nice and mashed and to do it relatively quickly you can also use a spoon or a fork but it’s going to take you a little bit.

Longer just get it all mushed mushy bananas you want it to be really kind of gross looking as weird as that as weird as that sounds you want it to look like mashed baby food or something just get it very smooth and creamy this smells really good I have to.

Say okay so we got our Three Bananas almost mushed up now we’re going to add a splash of vanilla extract I don’t really measure just because you know you don’t really need to with vanilla now I’m going to get a spoon going to mix it all together like.

So and now not only does it smell like delicious bananas it smells like vanilla bananas billas sorry my jokes are.

Lame now we’re going to Pour Some Sugar I don’t really measure the sugar just kind of eyeball it I don’t put too much because I don’t really want it too sweet that should be good enough and remember that sugar is a wet ingredient I would say that I added about half a cup of regular sugar maybe.

Less than that with most recipes if it calls for like a cup of sugar I like to use half of that amount cuz I find that most recipes are a little too sweet for my taste and we’re going to add some more Sweetness in a minute I’m also going to add a splash of.

Almond milk just to get it a little bit more liquidy so that we can have a nice moist banana bread and this recipe is vegan except for the chocolate chips that I’m going to put in later but you can totally use vegan chocolate chips if you.

Want now we’re going to put something kind of weird this is going to be a splash of apple cider vinegar and the reason we’re doing this is because we’re going to add Bak baking soda in a second and the vinegar is actually going to react with the baking soda so that it helps it to bake better.

I guess in the oven mix that all up and now we’re going to add the fat which is going to be olive oil some people use butter I like olive oil it’s a healthier substitute and I don’t really measure I just dump what I think is a good amount I’d say that’s about.

Right some people say that baking is an exact science I don’t really agree with that I think even with baking you can kind of customize it and sort of eyeball things to make sure that you’ve got your proportions right but there’s a lot of people who will tell you otherwise but I don’t know I’ve been doing this a while I find that.

You can kind of eyeball things for the most part all right now we’re going to add our glutenfree flour we’re going to do one cup and again I’m just kind of eyeballing here doesn’t really matter this is a 1: one ratio flour so you can totally use regular flour if.

You’re not glutenfree like me going to give that nice good stir there mix it all together make sure that you get all the dryness to disappear cuz remember we don’t want crumbs of like dry flour.

In our banana bread cuz that would not be nice this is a really good consistency you want it thick but not too thick you see how it looks like a cake batter that’s what you want now we’re going to add one teaspoon of baking soda and that’s going to mix well with the apple cider vinegar that.

We added earlier so just add your one teaspoon of baking soda and you can put a little less than that it doesn’t have to be a whole teaspoon and you want to go easy on the baking soda because if you put too much baking soda your banana bread is going.

To taste like like soap and that’s not what we want so just get it all nice and mixed make sure that everything mixes well so that all the ingredients can interact with one another and now we’re going to add our spices and I am using a pumpkin pie spice cuz that’s going to give our.

Banana bread a really nice flavor it’s got nutmeg cinnamon uh cloves cardamon and you know you can actually use pumpkin pie spice in Savory dishes as well I like to put it on sweet potatoes but it’s really good in banana bread so don’t skimp on the spices when you make this cuz.

Aromatics are always nice we want to well season everything including our desserts mix that all up there and now we’re going to add our chocolate chips and no you don’t need to eyeball that I’d say that’s a good.

Amount I don’t use the whole thing cuz you know we’re not gluttonous beasts here we just like a little treat in our banana bread get it all nice and mixed up so now we’re going to bring over our pan and we’re going to pour in the batter get it all in.

There make sure not to make a mess it is kind of a gloopy mess right now and if you’re wondering why I haven’t added salt is because we try to minimize our sodium intake here but you but you can absolutely add salt if you think that you need it for taste or.

Whatever but you know in this world in this economy we all got to watch our blood pressure get that up in there and here comes my personal favorite part you got to have walnuts with your banana bread and I’m putting them on top not in the.

Middle because I want the walnuts to get nice and toasty in the oven so just sprinkle them on top and what this is going to do is this is going to activate the oils in the nuts when they’re heated up and give it a nice toasty flavor and if you want an extra added.

Zin you can sprinkle some brown sugar or sugar on top and then they’ll get a little bit caramelized we’re not going to do that because I’ve added enough sugar to this so but you can absolutely customize this however you like now we’re going to stick this in.

The oven at 375° F for 1 hour and we’re going to wait so now our banana bread is out of the oven let’s go ahead and remove it and transfer it.

Over to another area here now those nuts on top are not burnt they are golden brown and they smell amazing take a nice little butter knife here cut cut cut and have a look at.

That doesn’t that look good that nice delicious chocolatey goodness so there you have it delicious vegan healthy banana bread enjoy everyone
