Romantic Gluten-Free Getaway in Rome
During a trip to Rome in February, the traveler was able to enjoy a much-needed break despite a challenging start to the year. The visit included a stay at an Airbnb near the Trevi Fountain, which came highly recommended. One highlight of the trip was dining at the renowned Roscioli restaurant, adding to the experience of exploring the historic city.
Although the year may have had its difficulties, the traveler’s time in Rome provided a welcome escape and an opportunity to create lasting memories. The beauty of the city, coupled with the delicious food and comfortable accommodations, made for a memorable trip despite the challenges faced back home. Roman Romance: Gluten-Free Adventures in the Eternal City
hello everyone back to my channel we are on the plane to Rome we got a free seat in the middle 2our flight I’ll see you when we’re there we are in Rome we have come out of the airport we got a bus to champo train station which is where we are now we are just waiting for.
The train to Rome City Center um the flight was really good me and Tim both slept cuz the flight was at like qu 600 in the morning we were up at 2: yeah we were up at 2:00 so we didn’t have hardly any sleep but we made up for some sleep on the plane the plane was really short it was literally 2 hours instead of 2 and a half and we managed.
To get our tickets all fine at the airport from the little self serve kiosk we’re going to head into the city center drop our bags off at our Airbnb go to a gluten-free Baker and just have a little wand around don’t we so I’m very excited it’s Valentine’s Day today so happy Valentine’s Day everyone so this is a.
Completely gluten-free bakery just walked here it it’s about 4 minutes from Roma termin station and look at all of these goodies they’ve got red B Goods brownies canoli past Aron patcha it literally is amazing then they’ve got a fridge over here of little.
Tart if you are a Celiac you you need to come here look at the canoli me and Tim have bought quite a lot I can’t wait to try it all got little macarons down there wow and then they’ve got cakes over here as well oh my gosh I can’t wa this is what it looks like from the outside side it’s.
Like at the end of this long Street and I wasn’t sure where it was at first but if you see this little sign there’s like a little step down into the cute little shop okay we are in the thick of Rome guys I am so excited we are here by the treby fountain it is so beautiful here’s Tim let me do a little it is.
Gorgeous very busy as you see all over Tik Tok and we’re literally staying in that building in like how perfect and you can actually see the Trey Fountain from the corridor on the way to our apartment so that’s perfect but we bought some goodies from the glutenfree bakery so we’re going to do a I know it’s cuz you’re too tall but.

Pepper we just TR break it hot no we’ll just buy it cheers cheers when in R I got the Tomato one this one oh this one so good full gluten-free that’s so crispy and we’ve got the most gorgeous view we just had a little wander around and we’ve just come to the pantheon.
Which is down the road from where we’re staying and it’s just everything here is so beautiful we had like a little drink and to sit down um and now we’re just going to have a Wonder really um more oh my God I’m still thinking about those arony balls they were unreal but look how incredible this is feel like this is zoomed in he’s really easy to spot in.
His jacket but look at this we’re not sure whether to go inside or not there’s like a line there this is the big square and we’re staying just down that little road there.
So everyone we are in our apartment building and I just wanted to show you how close we are to the Trey Fountain so watch this Apartments apartments and then you open this window you can already hear it and here we are how.
Insane is this location you can literally hear the fountain from where we’re staying and see it I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world to be here with Tim after such an awful start to the year r.
hello everyone so it is a little bit later now the sun is set as you can see a beautiful Road me and Tim are just just perched outside the pantheion um because we had like 2 hours in our room just chilling TI we’re a little bit tired because we w we had no sleep last night I basically left for the airport.
Um at 2:00 in the morning and we’ve headed out for some dinner now I bu to restaurant AG to go cuz obviously it’s Valentine’s Day so I thought everyone would be booked so I booked it in advance um and it’s called rosi s salir rosi restaurant something like that but to be honest I’m not that hungry what about you Tim.
M yeah but it will be nice regardless I would have maybe suggested staying at home and just getting something not staying at home but not the reason with I’m still going is it’s a place we haven’t been yet and it’s also Valentine’s Day this is like the M this is like the nice meal that we booked so I think we’re like sitting in like this.
Nice wine cellar or something um it’s going to be quite nice but I’m excited um the food we had earlier was delicious the arini was and so was the risoto it’s very filling isn’t it yeah very we shared it between us like one star and one man between us we did my arms hurting because I’m not used to vlogging and then all we’ve had is that canoli.
Yeah yeah I mean we have had like three AR balls each true true true When in Rome um how many times I going to say that in this Vlog right I’ll see you when we’re at the regant yeah the regant see you at the restaurant.
Okay for the wine Le Italian wine go have some of the pork so I’ve just had the most gorgeous meal I’ll tell you more about it later because it’s really nice here and I don’t want to to a camera but I’ve just.
Brought out these as a surprise even though I said we weren’t having dessert but look got glutenfree biscuits and a chocolate dip I am so excited one for each of us s Tim to be honest okay so I feel like all of my little Clips are just like and then we did this and then we did this so we’ve.
Just come out of how do you think it’s pronounced I you got it right R roli RI yeah rosoli we think it’s pronounced um it’s literally just behind us here this is what it looks like um and they have different LS levels so you can either sit in the deli or there’s like a back bit or you go down into the wine Celler and that’s where we sat it’s.
So beautiful in there I can’t recommend it enough the food is incredible it’s all like locally saued so tight squeeze down this road I mean I ordered two gluten-free things for you yeah Tim was so cute he ordered his pasta gluten-free so that we could like half and half so I could like share it but oh my God we had pork cheek in.
Our pasta both of us and it was so good good and at the end the guy brought us out um some like little cookies and like a chocolate fondue thing which were like glutenfree even though we didn’t weren’t getting a dessert and then as we left he was like oh and this is for you for Tim and there’s four little chocolate heart short friends in there cuz it’s.
Valentine’s Day today so how cute and the service in there was brilliant and the atmosphere is lovely from the music yeah AP from the music oh um do you want to say about the music some of you might not know but um um Tim’s mom suddenly passed away at the beginning of January so it’s been a very awful terrible start to the year it’s.
Been really really hard um on everyone but especially Tim um but and we didn’t think we were going to even come on this trip cuz we’d booked this before Christmas and obviously you never expect something that awful to happen just so suddenly as well um we had the funeral on Monday and um We’ve Come Away today which is Wednesday so as we sat down in.
That wine cell we sat down we got our drink served to us and then they like something amazing but also very sad and triggering happened um as we sat down in The Wine Cellar um the song that Tim’s mom went out to uh came on we hadn’t even heard that song much before for the funeral and we’ve been listening to it the last two days and the fact that that.
Song came on was just like such a sign and yeah um so yeah that that that was a lovely thing because I think that showed that she’s here with us and because she always loved traveling and she would have said no go go go and live your life so yeah that was a lovely thing that happened um but we’re going to head back to the Airbnb now and.
Have an early night because like I’ve said so many times in this video we’ve been up um since like 2:00 this morning and went to bed really late so we haven’t had much sleep um and we’re going to the Coliseum tomorrow so that will be lovely um but yeah we’re going to try and enjoy the rest of this trip we’ve had a really good first day.
Despite everything and all the emotions still going on um but yeah hopefully tomorrow will be exciting um and very historical but I’ll see you tomorrow
