hey it’s gray welcome back to my Channel today we’re doing a glutenfree taste test of three products by Feelgood Foods we’re checking out their mozzarella sticks we’re checking out chicken egg rolls and vegetable pot stickers all three of these were picked up and my local at my local Target so I wanted to.
Give them a try I’ve never actually tried them so what better time to do it than now I wanted to see if these taste just as good as I remember these tasting as someone who’s been gluten-free for now 4 years which is crazy I’m always on the lookout for products that I can have on hand whether.
I am hosting or perhaps giving ideas to other people who want to make sure that they’re gluten-free family members friends don’t feel left out during Gatherings these are in the freezer aisle at Target and I’m very excited to give them a try because it’s just nice to have something on hand if you are hosting or wanting to recommend some.
Options for people who are looking to uh make their entertaining a little bit more gluten-free so let’s give these a try we’re going to cook them up we’re going to talk about our initial thoughts on the taste test and I’ll make sure to have all relevant links in the description below so let’s get started.
Let’s start off by making sure everything is preheated so I’m going to be using three of the cooking methods that Feelgood Foods recommends so we can take a look at um how things turn out if you have an air fryer that’s awesome uh the chicken egg rolls and the mozzarella sticks do both have instructions for the air fryer the vegetable pot stickers do.
Not they recommend either pan frying or microwaving so we’ll get so we’ll get these set for today’s taste test I’m going to be using the air fryer for the mozzarella sticks I’ll be baking the chicken egg rolls and pan frying the vegetable pot stickers so let’s get everything.
Prepared and then do a taste test mozzarella sticks all right so the mozzarella sticks look like this they’re they’re an okay size so these go in the air fryer at 400 for 5 to 7 minutes and then let cool for two over cooking may cause cheese to bubble out and I don’t like I don’t want that so I’m going to distribute these evenly.
Let’s see in a couple minutes our next cooking method is going to be pan frying the vegetable pot stickers let’s get this onto the stove and last but not least we are going to be preparing our chicken egg rolls we’ll be using the oven for these chicken egg rolls call for 450° fah in the oven Place egg rolls.
Baking sheet on the baking sheet bake until golden and crisp 18 to 22 minutes flipping half way remove and then oh so these these come three I’ll tell you what the prices for these were too I’m going to cook two can always reheat right in the air.
Fryer come the pop stickers I haven’t had pot stickers in a while oh they look like legit dumplings I’ve tried making gluten-free dumplings before 3 years ago when I first went glutenfree they weren’t that good mozzarella sticks here they.
Are will we get a cheese pull you got a cheese bow oh oh oh my God okay not all the cheese though we got a cheese pole let’s give it a taste test crunchy cheese is good.
Two out of three done we have our vegetable pot stickers now these were pan fried so they are definitely soft very very soft and I brown them these you can either microwave or you can pan fry them I personally prefer pan frying I don’t know sometimes when you microwave stuff.
It just gets gummy so let’s give these a taste of pot stickers I just have a Thai Sweet Chili uh from I believe it’s Thai Kitchen really good gluten friendly Celiac um certified brand I would say if I was going to be picking so far between the mozzarella sticks and these.
Dumplings probably say mozzarellas sticks I don’t know maybe it’s the the texture of this let me try the the wrapper itself you know no it’s good it’s good but if you’re going to be pan frying it or microwaving it hand fry it.
Please because that crispiness on the bottom is really going to help with the texture of this do these taste did my dumplings taste better when I made them for the first time no not at all these are much better mhm.
Okay these are good final item to taste test is the chicken egg rolls they are definitely crispy but they kind of burst see if you can hear it for you ASMR fans it’s hot so before you serve it make sure you warn everyone is hot you see the steam it’s hot so this one actually is the only one.
That came with its own dipping sauce so got a piece of chicken I’m going to taste a little bit of ginger in there cabbage carrot so the inside of this of the pastry of the egg roll wrapper looks a little bit on.
The softer side probably bake it a little bit longer the outside is definitely crispy definitely keep an eye on it again I baked these for about 18 19 minutes they were starting to burst and brown a little bit more than I wanted but to give them a taste with the sauce hopefully cool down enough not to burn.
The roof of my mou yeah these are good now I don’t think there’s any argument that these aren’t good okay so final thoughts this is pretty damn good the dumplings I think maybe just cuz I.
Had something crispier before mozzarella sticks awesome stick them in the air fryer the oven pan fry them whatever there’s uh the mozzarella sticks have more cooking options for you they have a good amount of the actual mozzarella sticks in the bag so it makes for a good appetizer similarly as you would probably see in.
Restaurants the cheese pole is good it’s crispy there is nothing that feels off to me so I would recommend the mozzarella sticks the pot stickers the vegetable pot stickers I like the flavor you definitely would probably want to sauce with them and the method of cooking that I would 100% recommend is pan frying over.
The microwave the The Dumpling part of it the wrapper maybe it’s just been so long since I’ve actually had a non-g gluten-free dumpling they taste good but like I said you do not not want to make it gummy I think microwaving is going to do that.
But overall good pair it with a little bit of a dipping sauce and you’re in business for a great appetizer the egg rolls the chicken egg rolls you only get three so what you can do is you can split them in half like this and to have it have the dipping sauce available to.
People maybe maybe I just don’t buy a lot of Frozen egros I don’t buy a lot of Frozen uh entertaining snacks like this so price range reg regardless it ranged about between 5 to $6 I’ll have all the pricing available from the Target website um up on the video as well as in.
The description I’ll have the direct links to to these items and think it’s it’s obvious GL free it’s not going to be cheap it’s not going to be something that you can buy in bulk I mean buying three of these things for review was like buying groceries for one dish that I’m making from.
Scratch however keep them in your freezer they’re good to have on hand in case someone’s coming over and you want to have an appetizer ready or you have or a friend is asking oh my gosh you know we’re having a gathering I don’t know what to bring and you can say don’t worry I got you I have some.
Feelgood Foods um vegetable pot stickers in my freezer or or mozzarella sticks I’ll bring them no worries or it’s a good recommendation you can provide them as well it’s definitely a good option so if you just look at the price tag and say oh my God three egg rolls for like six bucks that’s $2 an egg roll.
Basically glutenfree I don’t know keep keep advocating for your friends and maybe one day we’ll see the price go down to what other food will look like but it’s good so I don’t feel like I wasted money I feel like this is something that I would very much with confidence bring this to a friend’s house or serve this.
At my own home when I’m entertaining so definitely Feelgood Foods is a great brand three products I’ve tried three I would definitely consider getting again but if I’m being serious I’ll probably get the mozzarella sticks first before the others but that’s my thoughts my taste test of the Feelgood Foods egg rolls mozzarella sticks and pot stickers.
