Hi guys today we’re going to make chocolate fudgy healthy Whole Foods plant-based low calorie density quinoa brownies that are actually delicious it’s ridiculous how good these are so for those of you who are new here my name is Amy and I have lost 60b eating whole plant Foods at low calorie density style but I have a massive.
Massive Sweet Tooth and I adore chocolate like no other and I used to think that I could never eat chocolate I had to cut it out in order to lose weight and to to be healthy I’m so glad I’ve realized that is not the case and I basically eat sweet treats every single day and have done on my weight loss Journey so I want to show you how you.
Can have as much chocolate as you want while still getting super healthy and getting lean in the process so if you love chocolate and brownies and all things sweee goodness but you also want to be healthy and lean then let’s go make these I’ve been going through a cake where I’m trying to use up loads of.
Different grains in my house and I really fancied something chocolaty and brownish today and I thought we could have some fun making some Quin wild brownies it’s going to be low calorie density Whole Food plant-based and oilf free obviously um so if you want to um make these yourself or just watch me make them then let’s go and turn this.
Into some brownies shall we the first thing that we need to do is we need to soak this in some water for preferably like 6 to 8 hours but because I’m feeling super lazy we’re going to use some boiling water to like speed up the process so it should only take about like an hour or so been making so many different quinoa related recipes these.
Days quinoa wraps I’ve made a comeback I really want to do some quinoa meatballs but basically it’s all about the quinoa so I’m going to do half a cup of quinoa whilst we wait for the kettle to boil I’m just going to reheat my tea for the 20 millionth time this morning got my boiling water so it’s going to pour some boiling water all.
Over this to speed up the process and cheat the soaking method right I will um I’ll see you in about an hour or so that seems pretty good the reason why I’m excited about this recipe is because we’re just going to be shoving everything into a blender which is my favorite kind of recipe it’s for those lazy people out there just.
Like me so um so excuse my blender it has just got loads of like flax meal in it I’ve just Blended up a gigantic thing of flax uh to use in this recipe okay just add your quinoa into the blender the quinoa is going to give it such a lovely like fudgy fudgy texture I’m sure you could obviously mix it up and use some other grains if you.
Have Millet instead or if you’re wanting to use amaran or you know whatever kind of grains that you fancy using you go for it we are going to go in with one nice ripe spotty banana this is going to give us loads of lovely sweetness and it’s going to reduce the sweetness that we have to use elsewhere in the form of dates made me at a bit more low calorie.
Density so you could do one or maybe two bananas if you fancied it but we are going to go in with a few little dates just to make this like a nice proper brownie but obviously we’re keeping a whole Foody you can go with maple syrup dates or um regular sugar any kind of sweeten that you fancy these are Rock Solid so I’m just going to warm them up.
In the microwave just a second to make them really just like fully disintegrate we want the sweetness to be like super Blended I know I haven’t filmed in ages by the way and sometimes it takes a lot of Courage when you take a break to come back and film a video like if you’re on a roll with it it’s super easy but like if you take a break for some reason it’s.
So strange to like come back to it so anyway I’m sorry I’ve been absent a little bit um I I’ve been away for a while seeing some friends and stuff but I’m back I’m back at it and I’m going to do my best to stay more consistent cuz I love filming these videos and I’m I love chatting to you guys and I’m super sorry about.
It oh woo woo tell you what that worked that worked a treat but they are very very hot can you see how super squidy they are pro tip just stick it in the microwave and also it actually smells like caramel I’m going in with three medal dates for now we’ll see if we need to add more later but I’m not quite sure okay then just all of our other little.
Bits I have got some freshly Blended flax right here going in with about a tablespoon of that we might just do like tablespoon and a half let’s say just for extra flaxy goodness you know get those Omega-3s in obviously we wanting some baking powder to make this make sure this kind of Rises like a bit of a brownie I’m.
Going to go in with a teaspoon now I know these are not official measurements and I’m sorry but um I’m just eyeballing it pinch of salt to really bring out the sweetness obviously we’re going to want some cocoa powder because this is this is chocolatey goodness right here this is for when you on your period and you’re craving chocolate like I am.
Right now everything is all about the chocolate I’m going to go in with two three Heap tablespoons of chocolate now you could go in with your nut butter of choice obviously um if you’re not looking for weight loss but if you are looking for weight loss I highly recommend you get yourself some PB fit or pb2 powdered peanut butter basically.
And it is um much lower in fat than a regular peanut butter but it’s got such a lovely peanut butter flavor and you know for you guys who have been watching me for a while you guys know I love love a bit of pb2 so I’m going to go in with a couple of tablespoons of PE too I think that might be everything hold on a second did I do vanilla I don’t remember.
Anyway we’re going to do some vanilla one little teaspoon oh we need milk we need milk I’m just going to be using soy milk but you can use your favorite um plant milk and we’re going to start with A4 of a cup and see how we go from there I feel like we’re going to need more well let’s just let’s blend it.
First let’s blend this first we are making this up as we go okay there we go that’s part everything quick little blend we need more liquid we definitely need some more liquid that is some solid stuff right there okay we’re going to add in another 1/4 cup of soy milk always start with too.
Little and then you can add more you can’t do it the other way around you know and I’ve made that mistake before as you can see it needs a bit more liquid cuz it’s not going around but I actually don’t want to add any more plant milk because I’m wanting to see if I can boost the sweetness and the general squidges by adding in another.
Banana so that is what I’m going to do there we go one more extra banana instead of banana by the way you could also use some pre-baked sweet potato and I think that would work perfectly in this recipe I forgot to mention that the pb2 um is totally optional by the way so if you.
Don’t want to add that in that’s totally fine okay we need to do a little taste test although I’ve never tasted raw quinoa before let’s try oh it’s got like a extra nuttiness okay the fudg the sweetness everything is perfect oh wow that good guys yeah that’s very good I think we’re going to like this one.
Guys I made so much mess like so much mess I don’t actually know how it’s possible like this is a ridiculous amount of mess for one tiny little recipe so now we’re going to use any old baking tray that you’ve got this is the one that I have if I had one that was a little bit like wider and like flat fatter for flatter then I would use one.
But I think it’ll be all right and obviously I don’t want it to stick and I don’t really want to use any oil at the water so I’m just going to use some parchment paper and I feel like the best thing is going to be is like scump it up and then bring it back out again and then it’s more malleable there we go we’re going to go.
In with our squidy quinoa mix try to get it even please don’t fall on me and then just spread it out a bit give it a wiggly wiggly wiggle I must say it feels really weird not putting chickpeas in here and you obviously totally can put chickpeas in here but I thought I was using quinoa which has loads of like great proteins.
And stuff in anyway but um feel free to add some extra chickpeas if you fancy cuz that is what I would normally do okay that’s looking really good wow this is a totally new like blend for me before I’ve never done this with quinoa and it’s really really yummy like it’s it’s so yummy wow hey I highly recommend just making.
This recipe re just to eat the mix alone fluff the brownies just stop at this point now you obviously don’t have to do this step but I do have some leftover chocolate chips from America oh God that way which are totally sugar-free and they’re like the best chocolate chips like ever that I found obviously they’re.
Not um low cal Dey they still got like cacao butter in them but they’re pretty good I’m just going to do like a little small handful mainly because I know that my babies are going to be eating the majority of this to be honest I’m obviously going to have some of course don’t worry that was the perfect perfect.
Amount we’re going to put this baby into the oven and we’re going to try and control ourselves while we wait and then I’ll show you the Kimo brownies I’m actually so darn excited cuz this is going to be my breakfast I think it’s ready oh my goodness yes that is ready look at that babies look at that oh my gosh if you.
Could smell it I wish you could smell it good I think we’re finally ready it can come out of the little box let’s see what we have created ooh I think the consistency it’s going to be oh my gosh that’s going to be an amazing consistency right I need to take a photo really quickly and I will be back also on a side note I’ve just made a really.
Really incredible recipe over for Instagram it is healthy vegan no baked cinnamon rolls and I’ve already eaten three if you want to go and check the recipe out um please do do that because it’s it’s really really yummy I’ll try and post on YouTube as well but um yeah super good I think I’m going to chop this one into like little mini.
Chunks so like want you guys to see the fudges oh my gosh yes yes yes okay so I’ve just taken a quick little photo and now it’s time to try it so let’s get into this I did sprinkle some ra quinoa on the base for like decoration purposes and now it’s just gone everywhere so that was a bit silly wasn’t it I always like.
Breaking it up cuz you really get a feeling for the texture oh yes okay M oh my gosh oh my gosh mhm the consistency and well the flavor.
Is incredible oh my gosh I really think you guys are going to enjoy this one let me know if you try it out down below but it’s good I think I love it I love it I was thinking you could equally turn this mixture into like quinoa pancakes or maybe like waffles would be quite fun as well you you can get.
Creative wow I’m thrilled I hope you guys have enjoyed this recipe um let me know if you try it out I’ll see you again soon
