Wholesome and Hearty: A Gluten-Free Spinach and Beans Delight!
All right welcome back everybody thanks for tuning in to no guts no gluten today we’re going to do one of my family’s all-time favorites it’s spinach and beans very simple bacon spinach garlic and Great Northern beans that’s it can’t get any simpler than that so we’re going to go ahead and do that.
Now and uh I’m going to get this stuff ready I got a pound of bacon I got even if this looks like a big container spinach it won’t be by the time you’re done cooking it I got some garlic and I got some Great Northern beans so first thing we’re going to do we’re going to turn the pan on get it.
Nice and hot the pot get it nice and hot and chop up the bacon and we’re going to get that cooking and once that’s cooking I’m going to come up and chop up the garlic all right let’s get started so basically I’m going to take half the bacon just cut right down the.
Middle it’s best if your bacon is still cold it chops a lot better me turn the pan on H that heating and then you just want about4 inch Cuts we’re going to take the other half do the same.
Okay now we’re going to take this over to the pot and we’re going to get this to Frying all right so we’re just going to break it up a little bit and it’ll break up more as you as it Cooks.
All right you can see we’re cooking her up pretty good now we’re going to let this go till just about like a crunchy bacon um form it’s uh it’ll hold up better so we got a couple more minutes probably about five more minutes on.
That and then now we’re going to uh get the garlic ready so we’re going to slice up some garlic all right let’s go ahead and slice up some garlic since it’s going to be cooked I’m just going to use the same cutting board all right bring it over here that’s about what you want the bacon to look like so now we’re going to throw in the.
Garlic and then we’re going to wash the spinach all right now that the spinach is washed we just going to add it right in I drained a little bit of the grease now this is all going to welt down so so this is all going to wel.
Down so you can just go ahead and throw it all in there as you see it’s starting to welt down nicely now I drain some of the bacon grease out so and keep the most of the flavor in and when it gets to about this.
Point you can go ahead and add your bean start with one can I think one can will be plenty in here but we’ll see how it is all right so I just went ahead and added a can of Great Northern beans and depending on how you you know how much beans you like or you know your.
Beans to spinach ratio you can add another can but I think that looks pretty good and before adding any seasonings to this you want to taste it cuz the bacon you know could be salty you don’t want to add too much salt make it more saltier so we’re going to give that a couple.
More minutes to incorporate and then we’re going to taste it and then add the seasonings that you know we need all right we’re going to give her a little taste and find out what what kind of seasonings we add I think that’s pretty good we just might add a little pepper and then that’s your spinach and.
Beans bacon spinach beans and garlic four ingredients and some seasonings and that took all of 15 20 minutes to make so hopefully you enjoyed this video and if you want to see more of these types of videos let me know i’ be more than happy to make or research you know whatever you need to.
