Deliciously Healthy Treats for Guilt-Free Indulgence
This delicious and easy treat is perfect for groups to enjoy at any time of day. Made with all organic ingredients, it is gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, refined sugar-free, and fat-free, apart from the optional raw lemon frosting. The recipe caters to those interested in both healing and satisfying food. The main ingredients include gluten-free oat flour, gluten-free rolled oats, brown rice flour, pure maple syrup, and applesauce. For the cherry layer, fresh or frozen pitted cherries are combined with pure maple syrup, arrowroot starch, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and vanilla powder to create a delightful filling.
The preparation involves preheating the oven and preparing a baking dish lined with parchment paper. The cherry filling is cooked on medium-high heat until thick and jammy, while the crumble mixture is made by combining the flours, oats, and wet ingredients until a crumbly texture forms. After layering the crumble and cherry filling in the baking dish, it is baked until golden brown. These bars are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days, making them a convenient and tasty option for any gathering.
