Wholesome Simplicity: The Art of Baking with Just One Ingredient
Good morning everyone let’s make a one ingredient bread with the magic of fermentation and sometime and it’s a lot easier than like sour or any other types of bread and yeah all you need is buckweed okay I have my buckweed here we need 500 GS of Buckwheat and then you just let it sit in water for 8.
Hours and then we continue as you can see I just filled up the buckweed with water and I’m just going to cover it with a towel and then let it sit for like 8 hours or like overnight it doesn’t matter if it’s 10 hours and then we will continue morning I left the buak whe a bit more than 8 hours because I left it.
Overnight but I think it’s still okay I’m going to show you and I’m going to just drain it and then mix it and add the salt yeah as you can see it got a lot bigger but it’s looking great so I’m just going to drain it okay the buckweed is drained I’m going to.
Add a teaspoon of salt and 200 mL of water and I’m going to blend it with an em merging blender okay as you can tell I just just finished blending it and I’m going to just let it sit for 20 hours with a like towel covering it and then it’s time to bake it’s just.
Going to sit like this on my counter for yeah the next 20 hours or maybe a bit longer because it’s 800 in the morning so maybe more like 24 hours if you do this recipe maybe keep in mind the hours I was very bad this time because you need like 8 hours space and then 20 hours space and if you do it like uh at night.
Or it just doesn’t add up and you would have have to wake up at night it doesn’t matter if it’s like a couple hours more but if you want to keep the recipe exact with the8 hours in the 20 hours yeah maybe keep that in mind because I didn’t the 20 hours has passed now and the dough if you want so um is now ready I just preheated my oven to.
180 and I’m going to pop the bread in for like 70 minutes and maybe decorate it with a bit of seeds and stuff I’m going to show you the dough because it’s now bubbly as you can tell a couple of bubbles have formed it’s a very good sign I’m going to get my form and I always like to just scrunch my p pap.
Okay I’m going to fill the dough transfer it now SP now you can really tell like from all the bubbles this life very active.
Fermented foods are so great for your belly I’m just going to add some Flex seeds and some sunflower seeds okay I think that’s good my oven is now preheated I’m going to pop it in and leave it in for like 17 minutes and check on it in between if it gets too dark I’m going to cover.
It okay bir is ready onion look at these I found them at the thrift shop on there the cutest okay the brat is out of the oven it’s still very warm I let it cool down now it’s been a couple of hours the bread is cooled down I’m going to cut it open in.
A second but I’ve been to the pharmers market with a friend it was very nice it’s quite cold outside and rainy but I still had a very great time let’s get it out that’s how it looks it looks like it has a lot of air pocket it’s the bread I’m quite surprised it doesn’t taste.
Like buck wheat at all like if you ate like buck wheat before and you just cooked it doesn’t taste like that just has a very mild flavor very good I like it okay it’s been a couple of days the bread is gone it was a success I really enjoyed it let me know if you try it and if you like it I’d love to know if you.
Make it or if you would change anything and um I see you next time bye
