In my gluten-free kitchen I only use Caputo glutenfree flour if you have ever tried glutenfree baking before you know how much of a challenge it is to get the quality of the product the way you want it and I’ve found nothing compares to this so far hi everyone this is Kelly bringing you the health news you want to hear before we get started I’d like to.
Take a moment to remind you that this information is intended for general purposes only it is not a substitute for professional medical advice and you should always seek the advice of your medical practitioner for your unique case all right now let’s dive into today’s topic hi welcome to my kitchen today we are going to be making a.
Gluten-free orange Sicilian cake it’s very easy with basic ingredients we need two organic oranges one chopped into smaller pieces uh we need three eggs some gluten glutenfree flour some baking powder almond flour uh granulated sugar melted butter and then we are set and good to go so here I’ve placed the oranges in my.
High powered blender and I am whizzing it up until it becomes a nice smooth puree now I’ve got my three eggs to which I’m going to add the sugar and whisk it until it is smooth creamy and fluffy almost white in color this is going to take a few minutes and there you can see we’ve got the nice white fluffy mixture and now.
I’m going to take my flour add the baking powder and run that through a fine meshed C directly into the egg mixture I’m using a spatula here to gently mix the flour into the egg mixture get it nicely Blended and once that is done we are adding that delicious orange pure that came directly.
Out of the blender once again we want to incorporate that really well this is smelling Delicious By the way now I am adding the melted butter I just melted that quickly in the microwave and then let it cool so that we’re not adding hot butter to this mixture and again stirring it in gently to.
Incorporate the butter and finally comes the almond flour once again continue to mix just with a spatula to incorporate the almond flour inside the batter all right now we’re ready to put this little guy in the oven 350° for about 30 to 40 minutes I also um greased and flowed the inside of this pan as well so.
Here we go 30 minutes in the oven and this is perfect all right now that the cake has completely cooled we are going to turn it upside down onto a plate and then get it dressed with a little bit of glaze here we go that looks beautiful okay so you remember at the beginning of this video.
I mentioned you’re going to need two organic oranges well the second orange is Juiced uh that I have here and I’ve added some swerve um powdered sugar and I’m just going to add a little bit of this um juice at a time stir it in and this is how I’m going to create a glaze for this cake if it ends up being too liquidy too wet we’re going to add a.
Little bit more uh powdered sugar and if it is too thick to your liking you can add a little bit more orange juice and I think to me that looks a little thin so I’m just going to add a wee bit more of this um sugar to thicken it up a little bit and then we’re going to pour it on top of the cake and it will be delicious I can.
Guarantee you that I’ve had this before and it’s amazing okay that looks good to me if you want yours a little thicker not a problem you add a little bit more sugar and here we go this is the fun part this will soak up beautifully into the cake and we are.
Done let’s give it a try delicious
