Whip Up a Batch of These Protein-Packed Power Balls!

You could do dried cherries in this that would be super good you could do raisins if you had them um really whatever dry fruit matches the flavor Pro profile that you’re going for um you can add cocoa powder to this as well if you wanted it like a chocolatey peanut buttery flavor I think chocolate coconut with.

Cherry would be super yummy intentionally living intentionally eating intentionally growing where we are welcome back to the Padilla family Homestead we are back in the kitchen and we are making protein balls I’m going to.

Flip the camera around and we’re going to jump right into this super easy to make um and it’s it’s customizable depending on what you like to use um so we’ll flip you around and let you see how we make them okay so the first thing we’re going to add into our bowl is one cup of oats I do have another half a cup.

Reserved back here and I’ll add it in once we have the rest of the ingredients in we are going to put in one jar of creamy peanut butter I really like this once again unsweetened creamy peanut butter it’s not super loaded full of salt and it doesn’t have a bunch of added.

Sugar so this does have more oily stuff at top on the top that’s okay just pour it right in so this is a 16 oz jar so if you don’t have um this you could just put in 16 o of peanut butter we are going to add in 13 cup of shredded.

coconut I have unsweetened shredded coconut we’re going to add in four tpoon of chia seeds you could add in flax seed you can add in all different kinds of things it’s whatever floats your boat I have these organic hemp Parts shelled hemp seeds.

That I have in the fridge and I’m going to put in two tablespoons of these we’re newer to using these but it does have a lot of protein so we are giving them a try the next thing I need to do is chop up about a half a cup of dried fruit I am using uh dates they’re kind of a natural.

Sweetener I get these at Costco they’re premium organic the dlet no dates whatever and I’m just going to chop these kind of into smaller chunks and chop them put them right into that measuring cup you could do dried cherries in this that would be super good you could do.

Raisins if you had them um really whatever dry fruit matches the flavor Pro profile that you’re going for um you can add cocoa powder to this as well if you wanted it like a chocolatey peanut buttery flavor I think chocolate coconut with cherry would be super yummy I’ve done a mix of date and Cherry.

Before it’s really whatever flavors you want to do do one more and call that good okay so I’ll put that in and then we are going to add 3 to four tablespoons of Honey or maple syrup this is really your.

Preference on how you want to sweeten it um we are doing the wild orange honey wild Orange Blossom honey and we really like that flavor with the peanut butter um I have done maple syrup and we love it too and this is just going to help everything kind of stick together I’m.

Going to start with the three tablespoons and I’m going to put that just on the lid and I’m going to start to just mix all this together as it sits in the fridge the um chia seeds will absorb some of the.

Moisture from the peanut butter and it’ll still have slightly crunchy but it’s not going to be as crunchy as if you try it right away the texture does change as it is sitting in the refrigerator so you want want this to be a texture when it’s all mixed that will easily hold its.

Form and have a good balance between the peanut butter and the um oatmeal this is too wet still I’m going to go ahead and add in that other half a cup at this point and just keep mixing that in if you decide to mix with your hands then I would use gloves cuz this could be an.

Exfoliant unless it’s for your family and they don’t care but if you’re sharing these with other people I would wear gloves if you were going to mix it by hand okay I’m going to add in actually I’m going to try it just need to get that little Edge.

Mixed in here I’m kind of using the bowl and pushing this against the bowl to really get it to mix in okay I’m going to add in the one more tablespoon I’m just going to go once it’s pretty much in here and it’s.

Started to absorb it’s not so much of an exfoliant which is nice because everything’s really sticky now with that peanut butter and honey I’m going to grab a mason jar it’s a half gallon mason jar and I’m just going to grab these little.

Clunks roll them up and pop them in if you’re questioning the flavor profile you just take a little chunk of it and eat it which I’ll do right here I think that has a really good balance right now I really look to make sure that like the dates are evenly distributed.

Through and the chia seeds nobody wants a huge bite of just chia seeds and you’re just going to keep rolling these up and you’re going to do whatever side is what you want to use it’s such a personal preference once we get them all Jarred then I just take it put a lid on.

It and stick it in the refrigerator and let them harden up a little bit before we start to enjoy them that’s the usual process I think my husband’s going to eat a couple of these right now because we are headed out shortly to get our Azure standard order which is where we get our honey um.

The Chia seed and the coconut and the peanut butter all of those ingredients and the oatmeal come from Azure standard everything else is from Costco which is the hemp parts and the dates and just like that we have a snack ready to go for the rest of the week high.

Protein super yummy um they’ll store for a little bit in the fridge um I like the wide mouth jar because I could stick my hand in it and then they are super super delicious they’re peanut buttery they’re chewy it’s going to take a minute probably going to want a drink but super good so I’m going to keep these out for.

My honey so he has them as we’re headed out the door to go pick up or order I will have this recipe linked down in the description below as well for you but it’s really like you can switch it out you don’t like coconut put something else in it you can add more o oatmeal and place the coconut like I said you can do um crunchy peanut butter you can.

Do cocoa powder you can do cherries instead of dates like you can play with this customize it and completely make it your own um and they’re fun kids can have fun stirring it up and watching it all to come together now how healthy they’re going to be is going to dependent on how healthy the ingredients you put in the protein balls are so.

You’re going to want to look at that if you have a certain amount of protein you’re trying to hit a day um like my daughter is aiming for a higher protein then these might be a good thing and you can calculate what you are putting into the protein balls and how much how many protein balls it makes and then have it calculate out.

So these are a fun easy healthy snack depending on what you put in them and we will see you on the next video intentionally working intentionally choosing intentionally love.

Well
