So this is my go-to recipe I love this recipe I’ve been making it for a really long time I don’t like a crumbly granola I like a clusty granola if that makes sense so this is one that I found clusters very very well so to start out I am going to add six cups of oldfashioned oats and to my oats I’m going to add 4 tbspoon of butter.

Melted and 1/4 cup of coconut oil now if you don’t have coconut oil don’t be afraid you can use canola oil that’ll work fine I’m just going to mix that up with my hands okay and I’m going to add a little bit of salt about a teaspoon of salt mix that in as well once that’s tossed I’m going to.

Divide it between two sheet pans just want to get all of that out of there and I’m just going to make sure it’s spread right out on these pans nicely and we’re going to put it in a 350° oven for about 15 minutes.

Now we’re going to move on to the next step I have a pan here uh going to turn my heat on start heating that up and to this I’m going to add one cup of brown sugar and 1/4 of a cup of apple juice a half a cup of honey get all of this in here and we’re also going to add some molasses about a/4 of a cup of molasses.

I love molasses when I was a little girl my mom used to make us molasses toast she would spread molasses on one side of the uh sliced bread and then fry it molasses side down in a frying pan and just just until it was crispy and like caramelized oh my gosh that was such a delicious treat so we’re going to get this just until it’s all combined and.

The sugar has dissolved we want it mixed in really really well okay I think that’s all dissolved so now I’m going to add some vanilla just going to add about 3 teaspoons it’s not really great measuring there but it’s a it’s a just about 3 TPO so.

Let’s get that stirred in I’m just going to move this off the heat and check on our oats the oats are done I’ve removed them from the oven and placed them in my bowl I’ve also covered the two sheet pans that I had uh with some foil and now I’m just going to butter the sheet pans because we don’t want it.

Sticking I do not want to deal with that kind of a mess I don’t have time for that and I know you don’t either now to our cooked oats I want to add one cup of ground flax seed a half a cup of coconut and it’s unsweetened we got about a half a cup of I mixed pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds just did a mixture of both and.

I’ve got some raisins about a half a cup a/4 of a cup half a cup and half a cup of slivered almonds and 1 half2 cup of chopped peans now whatever you add to the mix is up to you I have added several things I’ve even add added rice krispy cereal um whatever it is you want to add to the mix there’s so many different variations.

I mean you you really can’t go wrong with granola you could add some pumpkin pie spice if you wanted to or some cinnamon there’s so many different things you could do I love granola it is one of my favorite favorite snacks now it’s time to add this sugary.

Goodness you want to stir quick to get it all around mixed because it cools down fast just want to get all the ingredients coated nicely this smells so good I bet you can’t wait to taste it I know I.

Can’t okay so let’s get this on the sheet pans I’m going to divide this between the two and when I pulled the oats out I turned my oven down to uh 325 now I just want to get this evenly distributed all of this goodness.

Now it’s out of the oven look at it nice Golden Delicious goodness oh but I can’t handle it yet it’s still a little bit too hot so I’m going to let it sit here and cool and it’s done what we need to do is get into these jars so let’s get this broken up a little bit when you first remove this from the oven it’s not really hard like this it’s.

Pretty pliable but once it cools down it gets really hard and see how chunky it gets I love this kind of granola that’s that’s what I love about granola I like the big chunky pieces this is going to be great on top of yogurt um it would be great for on ice.

Cream with fruit we like to uh pack it up for snacks breakfast there’s many different ways however you eat it it’s good you you can keep the granola for quite a while right on your counter you can also put it in Ziplocs or a freezer safe container and.

Store it in the freezer it’ll last for at least a year in the freezer you could always pack these down really well when you’re first filling your trays to put them in the uh oven and you know just even them out really flat I didn’t do that I just put them in the in the trays because this is what I wanted to do with them but if you Pat them down really.

Flat you can use them um for Gran granola bars just take a knife and and slice them and they’d make some really great granola bars you could dip them in chocolate you could dip half of them in chocolate or just the bottom part in chocolate they’d be really good they make a nice snack of course they’re less healthy when they’re dipped in chocolate.

But they’re still good and that’s all it takes to make granola this is how much I get out of one batch these are half gallon mason jars and uh I like to store them in these and they’ll last a while but not really because we eat a lot of granola and uh yeah it’s a it’s a great snack.

And it is really simple to make I know it’s a lot of steps but it’s quite simple and it’s versatile if you don’t have apple juice that’s fine use applesauce it’s going to liquefy once you put it into your liquid anyway and it’ll work just the same if you uh don’t want to use honey or if you don’t have any use maple syrup I’ve done that.

Before as well throw in add whatever you like peanuts cashews uh walnuts whole almonds any of those things will work so experiment and see how it comes out I know you’re going to like it either way because this stuff is really good and like I said it’ll last you a while on the counter but it’s not really going to last because you’re going to want to.

Snack on it all the time kind of like popcorn you just can’t stop at just one little bite you got to keep going so I hope you enjoyed this video and if you did leave me a thumbs up if you’re new to my channel subscribe I’d love to have you join my community here and thank you again for stopping by and joining me and until next.
