Today I’m in my kitchen and I’m teaching you how to make the most amazing adaptable plant-based protein shake. This protein shake is packed with plant-based protein. It’s full of minerals, omega-3s, and it will keep you full all day. I’ve got two versions I’m going to show you. One’s a a simple version, and the other one is a more.

Advanced version that will give you a deeper, richer taste, but you’re going to love it. Here’s what you’re going to need to make the simple version of this protein shake. We’ve got I use organic soy milk. I always use organic now because I don’t want anything added to it. I don’t want it fortified with anything that may be artificial. I just.

Want the milk as it is. You can use another milk if you prefer. I like to use soya cuz it’s high in protein and I do not react to soya at all. Next up, you’re going to want a high quality protein powder. I use this organic pea protein powder by the healthy tree on its own. It’s not going to taste nice, but I only ever put it in things like.

Protein shakes and other things that I’m cooking with. Organic cacao powder. This is less processed than cocoa powder and it contains loads of minerals like manganese, copper, iron, magnesium, and things like that. It is a great source of minerals and it gives you that chocolate taste without being too processed. Flax seeds are a great source.

Of omega-3 and adding them in not only helps it gives it like a really nice taste, but it also it’s good for your digestion. So, it’s great to add flax seed in. They’re really good for you. Personally, I love walnuts and that gives this protein shake a really good richness and depth. If you have an allergy to walnuts but not to other.

Nuts, you can replace with other nuts. I also sometimes add cashew nuts or if I’ve run out of walnuts, I will use just cashew nuts. But I personally love walnuts for this. It I am using gradea maple syrup. Now the thing about maple syrup is it actually does have health benefits. It is an antioxidant and it doesn’t spike your blood sugar like a.

Lot of other like sweeteners and things like that do. Plus, it’s 100% natural. That’s what you’re looking for. Something that’s good quality that is not going to cause problems for your body. High quality sea salt to add to this protein shake. And you might be wondering, why are we adding something salty and something sweet at the same.

Time? But it’s actually the salt that helps to give it that richness and that like a kind of salted caramel kind of taste. I buy this from the supermarket. It’s a box of 250 g box of high quality molden sea salt flakes. I also have the the grinder of it. So when this runs out, I just refill it from this. And this is what I use. This is the basic.

Version. And what I’m going to do, I’m going to show you how to make it. And then I can show you what you can add to it if you want to make it a little bit more flavorful. This is flavorful on its own, but if you want that really like richness to it, I’ll show you what to do. Also, you’re going to need a blender, preferably a glass jug blender.

Or an immersion blender because with a glass jug blender, we can blend things like walnuts without having to pre-oak them. My personally, my immersion blender also does this, but it would have to be a really good quality one. If you’ve got a plastic drug blender, it is probably more likely to break if you’re blending things like.

Walnuts. It is really important to to just be aware of that. To start off with, I to be honest, I usually just eyeball everything. But for the sake of this video and helping you to know how much to use, I’m going to use a Pyrex jug. I’m just going to pour in 350 mil first to see if that’s enough. 350 isn’t enough for what I usually use. So, I’ve.

Added in another 300 mil, 650 mls of milk. That’s enough for me. Just remember this protein shake keeps me full all day. So, I literally have this and then I have an evening meal. I don’t eat during I don’t feel the need to eat in the day. I don’t need to snack or anything. So, this keeps me going all day, especially on days when I’m.

Working. It’s good for me to not have not have to think about eating. I’m adding in some maple syrup. This is going to be personal to you how much you use. So, I’m just going to kind of throw some in and see what happens. Now, I’m doing the protein powder. I use about three heaped dessert spoons. Next up is cacao powder. And I’m only going.

To use about one dessert spoon full of this. I’ll show you now. So, that’s it is slightly heaped. I’m actually going to add a little bit more. Next up is flax seeds. I’m just going to sprinkle some in. Use about maybe like a flat dessert spoon of flax seeds if I was doing it with a spoon. Walnuts. I’m going to just throw some in. I can’t.

Really measure these. So, you can just do it a bit by bit. See if that’s enough. I’ll just show you. So far, I’ve just used like that amount of walnuts. Now, for the salt, don’t judge me on this. I My body needs a lot of salt. So, I am very aware of the amount of salt I use is probably more than what most people will use, but I’m not going to.

Say how much salt to put in because I want you to be able to use your use your instincts and work out how much salt you need to put in yourself. Everyone’s different and some people need more salt than others. This is the basic. This is for the basics movie. And this is going to give you a nice rich chocolatey when when I blend.

It in a minute. It’s going to give you a nice rich chocolatey with a hint of salted caramel taste to it. What I recommend you do that when it’s blended, taste it with a spoon, see if it needs anything else. You might think it’s a bit too sweet or it’s a bit too salty. Add either a bit more maple syrup or a bit more salt to.

It. or you might want to thicken it slightly and add a few more walnuts to it. I’m now going to show you how to make it more even richer and even tastier and even more filling. Again, these ingredients I’m about to add into this, they’re kind of optional because this is going to taste nice anyway on its own. But if you want to make it that.

Little bit more rich, then keep watching. If you’ve never tasted dates, then wow, they’re amazing. I’m going to add a few dates into this. It gives it that really like toffee kind of flavor, like a caramel flavor. Dates come I’ll open this date up. Obviously, they have got a pit in the middle. You want to take that out. They’re so sticky. They.

Taste like caramel and they’re amazing. I’m just going to add probably I’m just going to add two dates in, but sometimes I’ll add like four in. It depend. It just depends. I’ve not got many left, so I want to save them. Um, I’ll add two dates in and then I’m going to wash my hands. A little bit of date syrup. Again, gives it that really deep.

Caramel kind of flavor. And a really small amount of blackstrap molasses. This is actually really good for getting your iron levels up. I obviously do take an iron water supplement, but I do sometimes have this as well just to just to add to that. It’s really important that this is organic though. So, if you’re going to use black strap.

Molasses, make sure it’s organic. Finally, I’m going to use some almond butter. You can use peanut butter, but as I mentioned earlier, I do have a bit of a reaction to peanuts, so I’m using this. I am probably using a heat teaspoon of almond butter. Heads on. Let’s blend it. Now, there’s my favorite protein shake.

Recipe. This shake contains over 30 grams of protein. Although I didn’t measure it out today, I have measured it out previously, so I know that the amounts I use equal to more than 30 g of protein. It’s also a great source of healthy fats and as I said, all those minerals and nutrients that I mentioned earlier. Hope you enjoyed this video and.

I hope you enjoy this recipe. I also want to add, I’m sorry that measurements weren’t more specific. I have got ADHD and I like to just wing it to be honest. I don’t usually measure things. I just kind of throw them in. That was my best version of being able to measure out what I use. I hope you can understand this. Thank you so much for watching. If.
