Guilt-Free Indulgence: Nourishing Vegan Peach Cobbler Recipe
So this right here is delicious healthy vegan peach cobbler made with no oil no wheat and no refined sugar if you’re like me and you love Peach cober and this is the perfect time of year to make it when the peaches are fresh and today I’m going to show you how to pick all right let’s talk about the.
Ingredients we’re going to use to make this healthy vegan peach cobbler we’re going to start with some fresh or organic peaches now as many of you know I buy all of my ingredients organic every single ingredient every single piece of produce I use I buy it organic uh some people buy some organic and some non-organic with peaches I strongly.
Suggest getting them only organic because they make the dirty dozen list every year the dirty dozen is a list of produce vegetables and fruits that have the most pesticides and chemicals sprayed on them and peaches are always on that list so it’s something that I would strongly encourage you to get only organic all right so some fresh organic.
Peaches we’re going to use some date Sugar now a lot of times I use date paste or I use whole dates this time I’m using date Sugar organic one ingredient date Sugar all this is It’s dehydrated dates so you still get the fiber you still get the vitamins and minerals and nutrients everything that you want to get when you’re um sweetening something.
So this is an excellent sweetener organic date Sugar going to use some oat flour some almond flour uh some oat milk but you could use cashew milk or um Walnut milk any kind of plant milk you want to use using some cashew butter we’re going to use some uh baking powder we’re going to use some uh nutmeg some cinnamon and some lemon juice now baking.
Powder and baking soda are two ingredients that when I’m making food for myself I don’t use them and the reason I don’t use them is because I think it’s a little healthier when you don’t use them but for people who are transitioning and a lot of times you know these recipes that I’m doing are to help people transition from things that.
They’re familiar with and taste and textures that they’re familiar with so by adding the baking uh soda and the baking powder it creates a fluffier lighter texture for things that you bake so a lot of times I’ll use these but if you’re someone who doesn’t use baking soda or doesn’t use baking powder simply omit it it’s what I do when I make them.
For myself um and I want to be empathetic to people who are familiar and used to certain textures that’s why you’ll see me using baking soda and baking powder sometimes so that’s going to next recipe these are the things we’re going to use to make this delicious healthy vegan Style peach cobbler let’s get to it all right so now.
There’s a couple different ways to go about peeling peaches if you saw my peach mango pie video uh a couple weeks or so ago uh in that video I took my peaches and I put them into some boiling water uh just for a minute just to blanch them and I took them out and put them in a ice bath and then they’re super easy to peel that way and then.
Other times like the day I just do it a traditional way I just get a pillar out and I and I do it this way I’m feeling like peeling today so we’re going to do it with a pillar so I’m going to cut my peaches in the one4 to 1/2 inch slices I like having bigger pieces because they have more texture and flavor okay so now I’ve got my peaches cut and.
The next thing I want to do uh before I put the entire cobbler together I’m going to get the filling mixed and cooking first so I’m going to take my peaches I’m going to get them in my pan here and as I said I’m going to add uh the ingredients from mixing it up which is my date Sugar.
Nutmeg my cinnamon and then my lemon juice all right now I’m going to give this a good mix and after I get it uh the peaches nice and saturated really well uh I’m going to move this into the oven and give it just a quick bake to get it going and then we’ll put our entire Cobble together by adding our.
Crust okay so I’m also adding some water because that will help the peaches cook and create a nice sauciness when it bakes all right so so now I’ve got my peaches in the oven they’re going to cook for just a little while while they are I’m going to mix my nut butter and my plant milk together now the reason I’m going to mix these and blend them.
Together is because it’s going to make it easier to mix with the oat flour and the almond flour I’ll get it mixed really well nice and evenly to make our uh batter for our crust now typically in a traditional peach cobbler you’re going to use like a lot of butter and you’re going to use you know regular milk but we’re skipping that obviously this is a.
Vegan recipe and that’s why we’re using nut butter and the plant all right let’s get them mixed together if you’re enjoying this video please like And subscribe below all right so our next step is we’re going to get our dry ingredients in the bowl combined uh we’re going to mix them up and then we’ll add our plant.
Milk okay so I’m going to begin the process of making the crust for this cobbler by combining my dry ingredients and then mixing in the plant milk mixture now I forgot to add my date Sugar earlier so I’m going to add that in with the dry ingredient now now keep in mind that the crust after this uh peach Cobble comes out of the oven the.
Crust will be a little darker than what you’re traditionally used to but that’s because of the date Sugar the date sugar makes the crust a little darker but trust me it’s still super delicious uh now I’m just going to uh top my peaches with the batter and once it’s baked you have this delicious peach cobbler all right guys so there’s only.
One thing left to do I got this delicious of peach cobbler and I can’t wait to give it a taste mhm that’s so good so good if you’re a fan of peach cobbler you really want to try this recipe guys.
