Hey guys welcome to the channel Tara has been asking for some oatmeal Cookie Dough Bites so let’s make some I’m Jamie with Sav saver I share gluten-free recipes tips tricks and resources to make your gluten-free lifestyle easier so please consider hitting subscribe and let’s get started so this recipe should only take a couple minutes to come.

Together I found it at the website dessert for two.com so I will link below to the full recipe I made one little change on it and that’s only because I had ingredient that would make it a little easier for me so let’s get started I’ve got 3 tablespoons of salted butter here that’s been softened to room temperature the recipe calls for.

Unsalted so if you have that you can use that I’m just using salted because it was already softened for me on the counter so I’ll just use a little less salt to balance that back out to the soften butter I’m going to add 2 tbsp of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup of brown sugar we’re going to beat everything.

Together until smooth and fluffy once that’s done let’s add our liquid I’ve got 1 tbsp of milk and a/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract let’s beat that in now let’s add our spices I’ve got a/4 teaspoon of ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon of all spice 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and the recipe called for a/4 teaspoon.

Of salt I’m adding an e/ of a teaspoon because there’s salt in the butter so let’s add that in one quick mix now for my change in the recipe originally it said to take a/2 cup oats and to grind down a/4 cup of them into oat flour I already have oat flour so I’m going to use that instead so I’ve got 1/4 cup of oat flour I’m going to.

Beet this until it forms a dough so it’s formed a dough so I cleaned off the beeters and the last two things we just going to mix in by hand so I’ve got that 1/4 cup of oats I’m using quick oats today that’s what’s in the cabinet make sure your oats are gluten-free of course we’re also going to add a/4 cup of mini chocolate.

Chips let’s mix everything together now that it’s formed a dough we just need to scoop it into balls so I’ve got a 1 tblspoon scoop here the recipe says it should make about eight balls remember this is from the website dessert for two so some of the recipes on that site just make a little bit of whatever so I do really like that she.

Does say the dough may seem a bit wet but that the oats will absorb the liquid so don’t don’t be alarmed if your dough is a little wet so I’m going to scoop it shape it there we go so let’s get them plated and give them a taste so with the tablespoon scoop I got about 12 of them so they are a little.

Sticky so I’m going to pop them in the fridge and firm up that butter and let those oats absorb some of that liquid and then we’re going to try them I just think they’re going to be a little easier to handle at that point so we’ll be back in just a second so here are the oatmeal Cookie Dough Bites I left them in the fridge for.

About an hour to two hours while I had lunch and did a couple other things and then before I took photos I actually rolled them because they were cold and now they’re perfect little balls these are the ones that I did not roll out again and they look fine too they’re just not as round cuz there’s you can see they were warm when I rolled them.

Either way you do it’s okay I did the other plate like that just for the photos let’s go ahead and try them they do need to be stored in the fridge and the recipe says it will last up to 3 days so I just ate one whole one and so here’s another one and they do have a very good taste I like them they taste.

Like cookie dough I feel that it kind of tastes like a cross between a chocolate chip cookie dough and an oatmeal Cookie Dough because there’s chocolate chips in this I typically make oatmeal cookies either with or without raisins and that’s it I don’t usually add chocolate to my oatmeal cookies because I want to taste the oatmeal not the.

Chocolate all in all I think it’s a good recipe if you like cookie dough raw cookie dough especially I think this is a good one to try I like that the fact that they use oats and I use the oat flour because that’s easy to find gluten-free versions of so it’s not a big swap out especially if you already have the product at the.

House I also like that it makes a small batch and that they’re only going to last for a couple days so you want to store these in the fridge they will last about 3 days according to the recipe guys what do you think of these glutenfree oatmeal Cookie Dough Bites please leave me your comments on that Below guys that’s all I have for today I.

Want to thank you so much for watching and I hope to see you in the next video
