Deliciously Unrestricted: Savory Slow Cooker Delights and Air-Fried Indulgences for Every Palate!
Hello, welcome back to my channel. For those who are new around here, I’m Sarah. I have celiacs and I like to vlog all about my gluten-free life. Apart from I haven’t actually been vlogging the last couple weeks. Had a little break. I’ve been working on something top secret. I can’t tell you what it is yet. Hopefully, I’ll be able to reveal.
All soon, so keep posted for that. Anyway, this week I just thought I would take you along for a bit of a ride with my meals. I’m trying to get into a better routine of prepping some food and I’ve got a few things I’m going to make this week. So, I just thought I’d take you along and show you what I’ve been making and hopefully give you some.
Inspiration for your gluten-free dinners, lunches, and everything in between. Got the slow cooker because I’m going to make my beef curry. So, I’ve got this beef which I had in the freezer. This was a yellow sticker bargain. Um, just been waiting to use it. And I’ve got my onion. And then I’ve got some garlic and ginger, curry.
Powder. I’ve got red chili, um, chopped red chili from the freezer. Usually I make this with like a whole red chili that I have and I pop in, um, but I don’t have one, so that’s what I’m doing. It’ll make it a bit hotter, but that’s fine. Cardamon pod, salt, garam masala, and tinned tomatoes. And then some yogurt in the fridge. The recipe.
For this is on my blog, and I’ve got it all portioned up nicely cuz I’m actually trying to reshoot some new photos for it. I got 750 g of beef. Normally, I use 500. So, this will get us at least four goodiz portions. And I will probably have dinner tonight and then pop the rest in the freezer. Now, one reason that I love.
This pot so much is that you can put it straight onto the hop and then you can brown things off without any extra washing up. Although, I cannot do this onehanded. That’s just browned off nicely. And now I can add the rest of the ingredients. As you can see, that literally took me 5 minutes. Everything.
Was chopped and prepped, ready, chucked it all in. You don’t have to brown off the beef, but I just prefer to do it. And yeah, I’m going to pop the lid on that. And then in a few hours, that is going to be perfect for me to photograph and then portion up for dinner later. In true Sarah fashion, I have completely forgotten to actually film this up, but.
This is the finished slow cooker curry. You can see it’s got this like really tender bits of beef in it. And putting in the chopped chili instead of a whole chili has made it a bit spicier, but I really like it. So, this is the finished thing in the slow cooker. Um, I’ve plated up a portion to photograph it. It’s got some lovely yogurt through.
There. And now this can go in the freezer. So I’m going to portion up some for tomorrow night. Um cuz it’s really nice weather outside. So I kind of want something summery. And then I think I’ll probably have this tomorrow and then a portion in the freezer for next week as well. So I might just portion it up in bowls like.
This actually and just then I just microwave it tomorrow like a little ready meal. I don’t too often make like viral recipes because I find that a lot of them are really disappointing. Um, some of them, like I tried the cottage cheese flatbread and it was just it was not good. I did make cottage cheese bagels.
They worked really well and I’ll put the recipe down below if anyone wants to try them. But I digress because I have decided to make a viral recipe today that I’ve seen going around, but it really suits like the way I’m eating at the moment and it looks so good. It’s like a hot honey bowl. So, I’ve had hot honey a lot and love it on pizza. Um,.
It’s great on fried chicken and I thought, why don’t I just make my own? So that’s what I’m doing right now. I’m making some hot honey. And I’m going to make the viral hot honey bowls. So you like roast some sweet potato, which I’m going to do in the air fryer. And then you mix beef mints with beef taco seasoning and have it with cottage.
Cheese, avocado, and I’m going to add some green veg in as well for extra veggies. But I just thought this really suits the way that I’m eating. It’s a quick meal. It’s high protein, super tasty, easy to make, and I think it’s going to be really good. So I’m going to make that. I’ve got my tender stem. I’ve got my.
Beef taco mints, my airfried uh sweet potato. Uh a lot of washing up to do. Avocado. And this is the best cottage cheese in the whole world. And I will note otherwise. It is so good. So now I’m going to attempt to plate this up. Make it look pretty. Feels a little bit like this is a beef.
Week this week. So, I started off making my beef curry. Um, I am again making my um hot honey sweet potato beef bowls because they were just so good. I have to make them again. And I thought I’d film them for a real, but obviously it’s so annoying because I film them for a real invertical and then I try and put them on YouTube and I need them.
Landscape and it blows my mind. So anyway, something I am so excited to share with you is I have made a new recipe this week that I’ve wanted to make for ages, and that is my crispy chili beef in the air fryer. Oh my goodness, look at it. Now, this has gone a bit cold, so it might be a bit softer, but it’s like.
It’s so crispy. Ready? So, you can buy this crispy chili beef gluten-free from like sainsburries and stuff. But I feel like their portion sizes have gone down and I never get enough and actually making it in the air fryer. So much healthier. Like I can eat way more of this for the calories I’m.
On. It’s a lot less fat cuz it’s not deep fried. So anyway, hopefully that recipe will be on the website by the time this goes live because I’m actually really excited about it. I’ve been trying to make recipes that I can kind of batch up and schedule, but the problem is I just get too excited and then I’m like, I have to get this online.
Now and suddenly there’s like no recipes for me and then there’s like a thousand. So, um I’m going to probably write that up this afternoon. But it’s a beautiful day outside. The sun’s out, so I think I might try and finish off these bowls. Just waiting for the air fryer to finish. And then I may eat lunch outside today.
Very exciting. Beef week is a go. So, it’s Friday night. Um, realize I’ve been a terrible vlogger cuz I haven’t really vlogged anything this week. Um, but we are making pizzas. It’s Friday night is always pizza night. This is my gluten-free Caputo flour pizza base. I know I’ve been.
Promising I will make a video. I have actually filmed it. I will edit it. I will put it up this week, but it is our go-to in this house. Steve always requests it because he says it’s better than a normal pizza. Just look at how doughy and delicious that base is. So, I chuck some meat, some olives, some peppers, some jalapenos on this. And we.
Had it in front of the TV cuz we’re currently re-watching 24. And I love it. So, that’s it for my gluten-free recipes this week. I really hope this was helpful. I promise I’m now on my laptop. I’m going to edit that Caputo pizza recipe video. The recipe is on my blog and I will link that and all of the recipes I made down below in the.
Description, but I promise I will get the recipe out this weekend. I’m going to do it right now. It’s my first task today. I really hope you found this all helpful. I hope you just enjoy kind of seeing the daily inspiration of kind of everyday meals that I make. I’m sorry there’s some very noisy DIY going on outside my house. If you like this.
Video, please hit subscribe and I’ll be back again with another vlog next week. Bye.
