Savor the Comfort: A Wholesome Twist on a Classic Favorite!

Hi everyone welcome to Christ’s kitchen and tonight I am making beef stew unfortunately I can’t go live because for some reason it won’t let me go live so you’re going to get a recording no big deal right so I’m making beef stew currently I have um celery carrots onion and a little bit of corn cuz I wasn’t thinkinking and dumped the corn into.

This the bowl with the celery and carrot as I was cooking it up or chopping it up but I’ve got those in there and I’ve got them sautéing I’m using my multi-cooker and I have it on the sear setting at the moment with a little bit of olive oil and I’m just going to stir this up and let it continue to simmer or.

Sorry sauté as I get the garlic out so I’m going to use two cloves of garlic and I’m going to use my garlic Crusher and you don’t have to for the garlic press you don’t have to peel the garlic you can just toss it on in I just Lo the CL in the.

Sink Salvage it later maybe and I’m going to do oh just like three decent size cloves of garlic here so let me pop this in just pop it in like that and Crush away so there’s one and you don’t have to clean that out between you just can toss in the next one.

Whoops and Crush away again and it will come out go ahead and scrape the bottom of that one off and I can do it one more time you can see the peel is in there and there we go all right there’s my crushed garlic.

And I have I don’t measure with this I’ve got three stocks of celery and maybe a handful of carrots the only reason I only have a handful of carrots is that’s all I had I thought I had more carrots so I didn’t buy any and I needed more and then I’ve.

Got these are my potatoes my corn and my green beans that are going to go in after I get everything sauteed up and going okay so the onions are starting to sweat out a little bit same with the celery so I’m going to go ahead can smell the garlic yum.

Yum I’m going to go ahead and toss in the beef and I just have stew meat from the grocery store that I had in the freezer so I’m just going to toss in the cubes separate them up a little bit as I toss them in I don’t go through and trim or anything like.

That I just toss them in break them up and I only have one package of it today which is fine these are still a little bit Frozen but for the most part they’re thawed especially these on the end all right do a quick wash on my hands all.

Right now to season everything use some salt my salt ster just those and some ground pepper I don’t like cracked ground fresh Cracked Pepper so I don’t use it and then I’m also going to use if I can find.

It up my garlic and herb this is glutenfree again I don’t know just to in now I’m going to stir again all right there’s that um the other thing I’m going to use to season this um I don’t buy like.

Canned beef broth or anything like that I use this broth base um it is gluten-free I love it it you can add as much as you want I feel like I get better flavor out of this than I do any kind of Jarred pre-made um stuff so all right let’s see what else do we need I.

Think we’re pretty much got everything in here other than the potatoes and veggies so this week is Valentine’s Day and do any of y’all have any plans our plans for Valentine’s Day night is we have senior night at Lincolnwood and so Abby has to I think she has to sing and play in the the um.

Pet band pad will probably play in the pet band because he’s been helping out this year even though he’s graduated and then after that or before that we’ll probably go and eat at tosy our local restaurant because I’m not cooking all right I’m going to go ahead and add in my.

Veggies all right all right and let me see if I can find it here’s the max line so I’ve got veggies and meat and everything all the way through or up to that line so we are good you don’t want to go past that line cuz then your your multi-cooker will.

Overflow all right and then the beef will cook as our stew Cooks all right now I’ve got some water here to help form the broth oops got down the side a little bit all right I’m going to need a little bit more I’m just going to.

Cover most of it all right there we go and actually I’ll go ahead and add just a little a little bit more there that should be good all right and now for my broth base I tend to add quite a bit of this there’s three tablespoons and I I.

Added probably six cups of water so that should yeah that looks like a good color I go by color when it comes to all that all right so there we go I’m going to go ahead and add a little bit more garlic.

Herb yeah where it go here just to make sure it has good flavor there we go and a little bit of Italian seasoning and do I have it do I have it do I have it you got to have a bay leaf and I.

Do all right so there’s one two bay leaves I don’t know what they do I just know you’re supposed to add them anyway all right so there we go I’m going to add my lid and I’m going to adjust or I’m going to cancel the.

Sear now I’m going to turn this to uh let’s see soups and turn it down I think 15 minutes okay I looked it up it’s 20 minutes and press in and hold we’re running and in 20 minutes we.

Should have beef stew okay I paused the video and then when I went to put it back on somehow I turned it off anyway I’ve added a slurry of um cornstarch in just to thicken it up a bit um after turning it on to sear just to get it back to Boiling um but it’s all done and looks delicious.

So dinner is served I hope you all have a good evening and I will see you next time bye
