Gluten-Free Adventures in London: Day 2 Unleashed!
So this is the start of day two this is our hotel breakfast it’s quite a few steps above a continental breakfast you could actually get omelets made to order they had all these meats and cheeses I got an omelet and pretty much made myself a uh standard breakfast so this is the start of day.
Two we going to do a Hop On Hop off bus I know that seems like a touristy thing to do but we’re tourists so here we are on the bus it’s a Hop On Hop off bus we did the the big bus it’s called there was many of them to choose from and I was researching last night and this is the one that I picked started out just fine we hopped on they they give you.
Earphones and they do some pre-recorded commentary along the way that was pretty informative but not the greatest so we got off our first stop at Westminister Abbey and uh we’re going to walk around explore the area find out what’s what that’s the London Eye and this of course.
Is Big Ben and this is the Abbey it is just a magnificent building so we paid uh for the be able to tour it and uh they give you heads sets on your way in that is a robot mowing the lawn not doing a very good job but that’s what it’s doing so here.
We are with the Westminister Abby taking a uh tour welcome hit welcome hit welcome all right it’s a little guided tour.
this is the resting place of the unknown.
Warrior so we just wrapped up West Minista Abbey and it was quite the take so if you’re in the area I would highly recommend it quite a lot to see in.
There over uh 3,300 people are buried in there kings and queens and Poets and so on uh and just again a building that is unbelievable the all the work and all the statues and everything that’s in there is incredible so day two and we got a little rain look like the sun was going to come.
Out but it chose not to we were walking up to Buckingham Palace we’re still going to try um but there there’s a lot of areas closed because of the marathon so we’re going to go around a different way and see where we can you know how close we can get so it’s boring yeah okay nobody’s out today so it’s we obviously missed the um Changing of the.
Guard the guard’s in there you can kind of see them in the little house so we missed that but we didn’t miss the rain we got all the rain so this is where all the fancy pump and Circumstance happens out here Queen Prince and King and all those important people would be up there I have to say I’m a Little unimpressed by.
The balcony I don’t know why but but I’m not unimpressed with all of this stuff out here pretty cool all the the plantings and everything they got so there it is Rockingham Palace it’s a wrap so we hopped back on the bus and drove towards Kenington Palace and again they had commentary.
Along the way and these buses are huge on these small streets seems a little crazy as you go around all the corners this is exactly what I wanted put.
this is the Princess Diana Gardens whoa so this is Liverpool station very cool can pick up all sorts of the train.
Lines here wow all right day two so in our quest for gluten-free we ended up at a another Italian restaurant however this one makes gluten-free pasta so it’s housemade gluten-free pasta seems like a really good restaurant I don’t know why we ended up at an attali restaurant in.
London for two nights in a row but here we are we’re going to check it out it’s yeah yeah Janet also needs it and the name of the place is chiato bologan I guess.
So this Italian restaurant was so much better than yesterday’s it was so good I even tried the glutenfree they make it inhouse and it you couldn’t tell that it was gluten- free and then we were able to have tarasu and it was perfect and I topped it off with a espresso Martini everything was perfect here I.
Would highly recommend you come here although you come here expect to just have pasta that’s pretty much all they have had a couple dishes I got to pork chop uh but really get pasta very very good all right so it’s 8:00 at night still actually light out it’s actually 8:12 and this is a wrap for day two so day two had a lot of uh mixed things.
Overall it was a good day we did a lot but we’re not a big fan of the Hop On Hop off bus although I did get it for 2 days so we still have it for tomorrow don’t know if we’ll use it it just seemed like I don’t know once you hopped off you weren’t hopping back on very quickly so a lot of waiting to get back on it.
And then when you were on it seemed like you sat in traffic for a while so which we kind of knew it was going to happen Y and uh you know when everything I looked at online kind of said don’t do the up on Hop Off buses and I’d have to agree with that there was a little bit of information you got they do have.
Commentary while you’re riding them and uh oh it was okay but I think I would take uh the train you know you have to do more research to know where you want to go and uh and just go to the places I think you’re actually better off I spent about $100 on the Hop On Hop Off buses and we wouldn’t have spent near.
That if we just did public transportation so and actually at the end of the day we actually uh got off of it because we were just sitting in traffic and we took a train to where we wanted to go so if that tells you anything but so I wouldn’t highly recommend it you want to do it do it it.
Also might be the one the one that I selected seemed to take longer than others that came by but that could have just been by chance who knows if you’re traveling definitely do yourself a favor and buy yourself one of these this worked out great
