Healthy and Happy: Scored some guilt-free goodies at Costco!
Hopefully the lighting is not too bad for this video I’ve got to figure out how to film in my kitchen with the lighting and the way that my counters are set up but I wanted to share my Costco haul of glutenfree dairyfree and refined sugar free items and I’m going to be starting that new dietary Journey.
Tomorrow I just shared a Sprouts haul of more snack items that fall underneath those dietary Necessities but this one’s going to be all Costco so first we’re going to start with produce these are all obviously Whole Foods and I’m going to try to lean a lot more into fruits and vegetables on this journey so I got this huge salad.
Mix one pack of these celery sticks for juicing now these are not organic so I’ll look for organic at Publix or Walmart squash and zucchini strawberries apples brussels sprouts and grapes now we had a few other produce items on our list that they didn’t have.
Like organic bananas organic lemons organic snacking bell peppers so we’ll have to get those elsewhere sometimes we can get them from Costco sometimes we can’t these are sitting right here I have to transfer these over to a different Tupperware dish because they leak but these are the gillos pickle spheres I’m going to put all of that.
Away and then show you the pantry items snacking items or shelf stable items that I got from Costco that fall under the dairyfree gluten-free refined sugar-free diet all right for my machas mainly for my matches and smoothies I got this sixpack of So Delicious coconut milk it’s unsweetened it was $10.99 for six boxes.
And the ingredients are pretty straightforward compared to other coconut milks or dairyfree milks at Costco so this is my second time buying them and I like it so also for my machas or anything that I need to sweeten honey I got honey and maple syrup I usually use maple syrup but I want to.
Change it up and use honey I can also use this in my smoothie or any dessert recipes anything that needs a natural sweetener I have two options for dressing I’m going to be using olive oil and honey to make a honey mustard garlic dressing recipe that I saw on Tik Tok for my salads but usually.
Olive oil is the base to homemade salad dressings and I think it’s going to be interesting because I’ve been liking sweet dressings so I’m interested to try the honey and then oh I forgot I have some other cold stuff in the fridge I’m so tired it’s almost 9:00 so I’ll show you some of those things in a.
Minute so to KI my sugar craving for candy specifically or fruit snacks this is a great option we’ve gotten these so many times I think it’s like $112 for 48 rolls for these and this brand has a couple of other products out right now like at Sprouts but right now I.
Think this is the only one they have at Costco but it’s definitely worth the money the ingredients are very straightforward it’s just fruit and then carrot extract for the color very clean great alternative now this is something new for me these are are essentially those little yogurt bites those little yogurt melts that you.
Can give babies when they’re in the first stages of like their eating Journey these are made with coconut milk carrot lemon juice and mango that’s it so for like a crunchy unique texture type snack I wanted to try these I’ll let you know how they are I’m a texture person when it comes to snacking for sure for peanut butter I went with this.
Because it was like more than half the calories no I said that wrong it was like less than half the calories of regular peanut butter like I think it was 180 calories for 2 tbspoon of regular peanut butter don’t quote me on that and then this one is 60 calories it also just has organic peanut flour organic coconut palm sugar and.
Salt so you can use this as regular peanut butter put it in smoothies or yogurt to make a dip out of it I’ve never had it I know a lot of people talk about it so I’m excited for that for yogurt bowls or I guess just another crunchy snack or something for like maybe a.
Dessert parfait I don’t know I saw people talking about this brand in particular for refined sugar granola or cereal I’ve never tried it before I think they have granola type cereal with like nuts and then they have like this puffed kind of cereal so this is the one my store carried no grains no gluten no refined sugars no artificial.
Flavors 100% plant-based kosher gluten-free the ingredients cassava sunflower protein dats coconut oil caco powder coconut sugar vanilla extract and sea salt so straightforward another thing to kick my chocolate craving protein snack I always get these.
You know I actually didn’t look to see grass food beef water sea salt citric acid celery powder sea salt garlic red pepper black pepper Cherry powder coriander onion powder white pepper nutmeg parsley okay beef collagen no sugar cash these are just cashews peanut oil and.
Sea salt we went through a bag of these These are good to have on hand and I think that is it for my pantry items so let me get the refrigerated items this is the last of it so for protein this time I got chicken apple chicken sausages by adles love this brand these pre-cooked chicken bites.
Would be good to throw into my salad so I’m going to try to do one salad a day to get more vegetables in to have more of a variety and this was a very easy way for me to kind of merge into that dietary change so that it’s just very convenient for me to make a salad every day instead of having to cook a meat for breakfast.
Lunch and dinner I now can mainly focus on dinner maybe have chicken sausage with my breakfast and not worry about lunch because this is pre-cooked and then I got these guac cups so I can also throw these into a salad or wrap use it as a dip you know guacamole is versatile and chicken tenderloins grass-fed beef burgers.
That’s it sometimes we get frozen fruit frozen vegetables they just were not on our list this time or they didn’t have what I was looking for so probably the next haul you will see will be gluten-free dairy free refined sugarfree products cuz I find out Walmart Whole Foods or Publix I feel like I might have to go to all of those.
Stores for very specific things that I’m missing so keep a lookout for that but I I’m so excited about this haul because a lot of these things are new things that I haven’t tried and I’ll have to come back and do a review on what I think about these things and let you know if I recommend them but they’re good finds
