Mochi Brownies! These are seriously so easy to make – just mix it all together and bake! I have a few friends who aren’t able to eat gluten, so I’ve always made rice flour based desserts for them!
Aside from this rich, chocolate brownie, my other favourite is Hawaiian Ono Butter Mochi (with coconut). Give rice flour a shot in your dessert recipes!!
Wet Ingredients: 3/8 cups of melted salted butter, 2 large eggs, 1 ½ cups whole milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients: 1 cup glutinous rice flour, 1 cup granulated sugar, 1/3 cup cocoa powder, 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda
Toppings: 2 chocolate bars chopped up, 1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
*Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour – the middle should be just slightly jiggly.
Mochi brownies are a delightful treat for those who cannot consume gluten. The recipe is incredibly simple and requires minimal effort. Using rice flour as a substitute, these brownies turn out to be moist and rich in chocolate flavor. The addition of melted salted butter, eggs, whole milk, and vanilla extract in the wet ingredients brings a luscious texture to the brownies. The dry ingredients, including glutinous rice flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda, blend perfectly to create a delectable combination of flavors. For added indulgence, you can top these brownies with chopped chocolate bars and nuts. Once prepared, bake the brownies at 350 degrees F for about an hour, ensuring the middle remains slightly jiggly for a gooey and heavenly experience!
If you’re looking to explore more rice flour-based desserts, Hawaiian Ono Butter Mochi with coconut is another excellent choice. Don’t hesitate to give rice flour a try in your dessert recipes. It’s a fantastic alternative that opens up a world of possibilities for those with gluten restrictions.
