Hi friends it’s Mama pegs here your gluten-free go-to gal sharing all the truths about all the foods glutenfree with no BS today I’m going to be sharing with you pizza because there’s a huge debate that all gluten-free pizza crusts stink they taste terrible there’s no flavor nothing real well I have a huge surprise.
For you because last summer I discovered this incredible company out of Boulder Colorado and it is called Italia see this flat shaped Pizza see the picture how it puffs up and it looks really great it does it and I’m going to show you today by making a pizza using this crust all right however I want to share with you there’s still some really good.
Pizza crust this Naked Pizza crust from Capell is made of almonds and it’s delicious tasting I like naked pizza crust you’ll get the the feeling here because I like to create toppings for me and for Tim and for whoever else is enjoying them now if you’re really plant-based and you want something else as a little change these CA power Pizza.
Crusts are great but they have a lot of ingredients so again I’m all about the benefit and the ingredients that I’m choosing to enjoy when I eat so the other thing is is that let’s say you’re having a pizza party and you can’t find a gluten-free pizza crust I love making pizza toasts using toasts and just putting toppings on it there’s a PE.
Bread that you can open up and make it as a pizza and last but not least this is what we used to use before there was any kind of good pizza that was gluten-free are your just regular rice flour rice flour but not wheat flour tortilla yeah you can also make pizza on this so let’s get cooking what are my favorite things that I like to have how.
Do I like my pizza well if you don’t have damn good gluten-free already there is an entire two pages on a pizza party and all the toppings and all the different things that I love to put on it now my husband Tim he’s a purist he loves his red sauce which we love our E’s Garden it’s a homemade one um found in the book as well or you can get pizza.
Sauces right at your grocery store you can also get what he loves which is pepperonis there’s turkey pepperonis and all beef uncured uh better for you pepperonis sausages all of that is available today I’m all veg and I’m also using my homemade pesto sauce because that’s what I love and that’s what I’m showing you today in addition to all.
These toppings and as I’ll show and tell as we go so you take this off and then what you want to do you want to work quickly with this pizza dough all right and so you want to take the corners because I have an air rated pizza look at how much we love pizza you guys a pizza pan and I’m just going to.
Cut these Corners off so it fits nicely I don’t have to worry about the burning edges all right right and then there I have it oops I took a little too much off ofle hopefully it won’t stick but that’s okay and now what I’m going to do is I’m going to take this pizza and there is another piece of.
Parchment underneath and I’m going to place it right like that don’t forget to remove the cardboard I’ve done that look I didn’t caus fire in my kitchen so now what I’m going to do is I’m going to go ahead and Par cook this pizza dough at 450Β° my oven is heating I’m going to go ahead and shmear this beautiful pesto on it again if you.
Prefer a marinara sauce go for it okay and I’m kind of a light Pizza um sauce kind of girl but a lot of people I know really enjoy a lot of sauce you get to do you that’s the fun about having a naked pizza crust and having a pizza party that you get to create what you like on your pizza and then really get beautiful ingredients that really.
Nourish your body so all right this is looking really good I’m going to go ahead and take this and add it into my preheated oven for about 78 minutes okay so I’m going to add some olive oil into my pan plenty because the things that I’m adding to My Pan are thirsty like the.
Mushrooms and the eggplant they’re thirsty vegetables that soak up the oil so you don’t want to be bashful and I’m just going to go ahead and place them all so everybody has a nice Browning a spot to Brown I’m going add the eggplant these baby eggplants you don’t have to peel them so that’s.
Another thing I love about them and then I also have some zucchini so there’s light green zucchini dark green zucchini this is instead of me having sausages or pepperoni I look at these as my pepperonis and so while that first bit is cooking we’re just going to cook this up.
And I’m going to go ahead and add a little bit of salt on my veggies this is Celtic Sea salt my favorite sea salt to use and if it looks dry I’m not opposed to just adding a little more olive oil over the veggies while they cook so the mushrooms the eggplant the zucchini when they start to get fragrant you kind.
Of check them out and make sure that they’re nice and getting nice and brown I’m going to show you here as I flip some of them because when you put them on the pizza halfway through it’s so nice cuz you’re actually biting into a a nice chewy vegetable not something that’s hard so um here you can kind of see what I.
Mean with see how nice they’re getting nice and brown the mushrooms are getting nice and brown crispy oh my God I love if you guys don’t add mushrooms to your pizza highly recommend it get Lion’s man really Z up that pizza you guys you know oyster mushrooms all of that and you know we’re almost out of season with.
This eggplant I happen to find it at the farmers market it must have been a couple stragglers on the vine that they put out and I was so happy I did find them so okay these are looking really good again they’re very thirsty which means when I say that it means that they soak up a lot of the olive oil especially eggplants and mushrooms so.
I’ll continue to just add a little bit to them so they’re softening all right are looking good who’s ready for the best looking pizza crust ever look at this it’s like Italian true Italian pizza crust so now we’re going to put our toppings on it but look oh God you guys look at how it is rising and all bubbly and good oh.
My gosh so excited to share this with you okay so now I’m going to go ahead and add my cheese little bit of cheese I’m not like a huge cheese person here but just a little bit I have a truffle cheese and a peino romano and then I’ve got um some onions I’m going to add now if I had some olives here I.
Totally forgot you guys I love olives and there’s so many other things you can add archip chokes and Anchovies and oh gosh sausages there’s so many wonderful toppings to have fun I know some people like to add spinach or uh arugula to their Pizza holy moly okay so now I’m going to just take all my little veggies and just place them around they’re like.
My little pepperonis turn the heat off cuz these are looking really good and then we’re going to turn our pizza and has about another 5 minutes and we’re going to just have so much fun okay.
All right we got that two more toppings I’m going to add some fresh peino Romano on the top I’m going to add some chili pepper flakes for a nice little added heat addition here and in she goes for another about 5 minutes there are so many glutenfree companies in.
Manufacturers today that are making really Superior gluten-free products that have benefit that tastes good that we can feel good about giving and sharing it with our family and friends so companies like Italia that’s made this pizza dough that also makes the bo that I share with you in the bread video of really some damn good breads that we.
