Delizioso Twist on a Classic Comfort Dish: Indulge in Gluten-Free Italian Beef Shepherd’s Pie!

Oh I can’t wait so we had Italian beef last night we had the Italian beef sandwiches they were so good and I have a leftover juice I have a leftover Italian beef and what am I going to make for dinner tonight with those leftovers I am going to make a Italian beef shepherd’s pie going to make some uh some mashed potatoes to put on top of it.

Stick it in the oven uh put it all in this pan and I’m going to put some vegetables in there and I’m going to be like okay so when you have an Italian beef sandwich you have a hot jarder it’s got peppers and carrots and celery and cauliflower so I got uh and onions so I got some uh green onions that I’m going to put in there I got some uh celery I’m.

Going to chop up in a little bits I got some sweet peppers I’m going to chop up and I got some carrots and I have some mushrooms I’m gonna put that in there I’m gonna I’m gonna uh cook that down with some butter and some Marcella wine and then I’m going to make a a gluten-free brown gravy using the brown gravy mix and the.

Juice for my Italian beef so I’m just going to use this to thicken up that juice um so and we’re going to put some cheese on it I got some some extra sharp provolone and some uh mozzarella I’m going to mix those together so we’re going to have beef with the vegetables at the base and then some cheese and then the mashed potatoes and some.

Parmesan cheese on top and it’s going to be delicious with a gravy right in the middle oh it’s going to be so good so uh let’s go ahead and get started so I got my potatoes I I cut them all up in cubes and peeled them I put salt in the water and I’m boiling the water now I I put them all in cold water and I’m just going to take a fork.

From time to time and check them uh they’re not done so I will just keep an eye on them uh I could probably put on a timer for 10 minutes which is a long time but if I forget it’ll be done in 10 minutes uh that’s not a big deal over here I got my uh olive oil garlic flavored herbs basting oil so I’m going to I’m going to.

Put some of this in here all right oops get my spatula move this around turn this on right so I got my olive oil garlic flavor based oil I’ve got my marsala ready to go so.

I’m going to put that in to the glaze when I I get everything in there I got uh my celery my onions uh my peppers and I’ll throw some carrots on top I got these shredded carrots I don’t have to mess with them cutting them up just put those on there so here’s my vegetables and then I got my meat in the.

Pot right here I got meat in the pot right there so I go ahead put some mushrooms in here cook those down okay these mushrooms are looking good let’s uh put a little Marcela line in here the style you can put a little bit.

Of meat juice in here too all right just going to scoop up a bunch of this broken down a little bit all right so this is good this is good we got our meat stir this around all right we can add a little more Marcel wine L to.

This get this cooking up again all right throw in our vegetables we’re going to cook them up down a bit stir them all up in here all right this is just about the right amount what we’re going to do is we’re going to let this cook for a while.

All right this is a half a cup of the powder mix for the brown gravy this is gluten-free brown gravy so it’s a brown gravy mix this is half a cup all right I stirred it up real good with some cold with some cold water I’m going to pour it in there I’m just going to keep stirring it till it gets nice and thick now it’s nice and hot so a nice thick.

Gravy nice thick gravy once that gets thick oh I should turn the oven off or oner the oven get it preheated still got to mash the potatoes they’re almost done I just want to I want this gravy to get nice and.

Thick my leftover Italian beef so it’s got all that Italian seasoning in it I just put in some Marcel wine it’s starting to thicken with that with that brown gravy mix you can see it’s starting to thicken up oh it’s getting nice and thick now all.

Right so I just turn this off just turn this off because it’s super hot and ready to roll okay so I’m going to put that there my potatoes I’m going to turn them off they’re ready to get smashed I can take this up and see the fork goes right through it nice and even like that okay.

So now I’m going to drain out the water put the potatoes back here and start adding my ingredients to mash those up okay here we go here is our potatoes nice and ready all right I got some whole milk put in here I got some adobo garlic salt seasoning I got some uh white pepper.

I got some Parmesan cheese and I got some uh Montreal seasoning and the last important ingredient is uh for this MCH I’m going to do half a stick of butter right there that should be good now all I got to do is mash it all up you can see how nice and thick this.

This uh Italian beef gravy mixes now if you look at it it’s seems kind of dry you can always add more milk or more butter more of both if you want that this a perfect consistency so I’m not going to add any of that.

Stuff okay we just need to assemble this so we got some uh cheese this is mozzarella cheese you can use mozzarella provolone mix right I’m going to put this a nice layer of cheese right on here nice layer of cheese the this will make the gravy mix.

Thicker and cheesier as it Cooks in the oven all right so that’s good and now we can start uh assembling the top which is our um mashed the potatoes so we can start putting mashed potatoes here we’re going to smooth that across.

The top all right we want to just even these potatoes out right across all right our oven is at uh 400° we’re going to end up putting these in for 20 minutes to 30 minutes open up the oven oh I’m going to put a uh some Parmesan cheese on top.

Shake on some Parmesan seede on top okay I going to put this in the oven it’s going to be heavy slide that in there just like that and I’m going to leave that in there for 20 to 30 minutes at 400° start with 20 and see how that looks and then my.

Uh Italian beef shefer pie will be complete it’s been in 400° for a half hour let’s take this out oh this is looking good oh it’s heavy there we go oh look at that there we go isn’t that that nice so we got a nice Golden Top for this shepherd’s pie we’re going to let it sit.

For 5 minutes before I open it up all right so we’re going to let it sit I’m going to put the timer on for at least 5 minutes I’m going to put 10 minutes down cuz it’s super hot so I’m going to put in for 10 minutes and then I’ll come back and show you what it looks like when it’s uh when it’s really done okay we’ve let this.

Cool let’s get in here I’m going to get a nice oh man scoop this up get the crunchy side I want that oh man oh man put that there I don’t know if you can see that let’s throw some green onions on top doesn’t that look.

Good let’s take a look at this oh my goodness look at that this is Italian beef this is oh look at the vegetables they’re perfect there’s the peppers and the celery and the carrots oh my goodness this is Italian beef shepherd’s pie oh my goodness this thing is is to.

Die for it is perfect
