When I recently missed a connection in Atlanta I found myself with more Lounge time than I expected giving me a perfect excuse to try the MX Centurion Lounge for the first time on this channel we are gluten-free and dairyfree and the Delta Sky Club traditionally provides us some great.
Breakfast options like the granola and it’s hard to beat these views but after my quick stop at the Delta Sky Club I wanted to take advantage of this opportunity make my way over to gate E1 to the American Express Centurion Lounge which I’m able to access with my Delta Reserve American Express.
Card the space has these large expansive High ceilinged rooms with a real sense of Nature and Greenery it also has these really nice outdoor spaces like this Terrace I’d even say the Second Terrace is even.
Nicer but it was closed the lounge features usual amenities like a phone room and some meeting spaces as well but it’s this incredible Center room with its expansive buffet and dining area that I gravitated towards at least until okay I had to.
Move because I was sitting way too close to that desert station and I kept seeing person after person go up to it look at the signs in utter confusion and disbelief and take things ask amongst themselves anyway here’s what happened if you go up to it it says allergens none or allergens.
Coconut for a peach short cake for a strawberry shortcake I mean I looked at them and I was like there’s no way they made a gluten-free dairy free an allergen and largely allergen free dessert and guess what they didn’t um so I did ask because I was incredulous and I was like are these actually gluten free and dairy free um and thankfully no.
No issues they went to the back and they asked the question and they were like oh no it definitely contains gluten and dairy I’m like well okay so if it says allergens none you are communicating that it does not contain those things and I’m I’m deeply worried that at some point somebody is going to get sick on the.
Basis of those things so um I will say the if you go over to the salad bars they had an amazing chickpea salad they had an amazing tomato cucumber salad um they have a number of actually different food stations and I even managed to find like uh um like a Chia fruit Oat Bar what I mean there are definitely options here um maybe even more than you would.
Find at a Delta Sky Club but putting a sign up there that literally says that there are no allergens in it is dangerous okay I just have to say the coffee here is so much better than at the Delta Sky Club it is a local roster and it is notably better than what you get out of those espresso machines at the Delta skyclub this is a.
