Aldi’s Gluten-Free Gastronomic Showdown: Top Tastes vs. Total Flops

so today I’m going to do something a little bit different from my Norm instead of making things from scratch I decided to do a product review for three of Aldi’s glutenfree products first up I’ve got the live free gluten-free chicken egg rolls I’m going to bake this.

In a toaster oven instead of cooking it on the stove top these are pretty big they’re almost the size of my hand and it comes with three but they don’t have any dipping sauce inside now this is not part of the instructions but I am coating it in canola oil just to see if I can get it to Brown a little bit more and the directions say to bake it at 450.

But I’m lowering it to 400 and baking it for 20 minutes after 10 minutes this is what they look like and then after the 20 they’ve burst a little bit so I’m going to let them cool off before I cut into them I’m eating the chicken egg rolls with with the May Ploy Thai sweet chili.

Sauce these look pretty good nice and colorful just going to give them a dip and take a bite and then I decided after eating one to cut one open just to see exactly how much chicken is on the inside and as you can see it’s kind of disappointing for something that’s supposed to be a chicken egg roll.

There’s not much chicken inside of here so I’d have to say the next go round I would still buy it I would just go ahead and get the vegetarian vegetable version because the chicken one leaves a little bit to be desired definitely needs a lot more chicken especially considering the size so I give it a b up next we’ve got the appetitos chicken pot stick.

Now these I am eating for the first time I normally get the brand that Wegman cells but um I did that one on the stove top so I’m going to try Aldi’s brand on the stove top you want to add a little bit of water along with some canola oil or other neutral cooking oil and you want to cook it on high heat make it making sure that it’s.

Covered and the water will slowly cook down after a few more minutes you can hear it you can see that it’s starting to sizzle and Fry up so you really have to be quick and remove it so far I have to give these an a these were absolutely delicious you cut into them and just look at this chicken pot stickers full of.

Chicken that’s exactly what you want now I didn’t try the dipping sauce that comes with these just because I prefer my sweet uh chili sauce but you can try it if you want but these were absolutely delicious I’ll buy these again and the last product I’m reviewing is the Liv G free glutenfree pizza dough now I am someone who absolutely loves.

Pizza I have tried several different brands of pre-made pizza dough or dough like this that you have to roll out uh by yourself and I have to say gluten-free food really has come a long way I normally try to a avoid uh buying store-bought gluten-free food because I found that I can typically make it myself even better from scratch but I.

Was really hopeful with this pizza dough unfortunately I ended up being really disappointed I have really good toppings this is puree DIC tomatoes with chili flakes and paprika then the caramela onions and bell peppers topped with a buffalo mozzarella I mean I really put my heart and soul into these toppings baked it at.

450° and when it came out of the oven it was hard the crust was hard it had a cardboard plastic like texture and it had no flavor so my toppings were great but the crust overall was a huge disappointment and for that reason I’m giving it a c
