So day five after the marathon we’re heading down to breakfast and then we’re just going to have more or less an easy day take the train to a couple stops Paddington Station and King Crossing and then we are going to take the train from there to Camden Gardens and check that out so this is another piece of the London City wall there’s not many.
Pieces left and this is right where we’re staying our hotel this is our hotel here we started our day here at Tower Hill which is the train station that is virtually right at our hotel so our first stop was Paddington Station where we went on a wild goose Chase trying to.
Find the Paddington Beer Store well we never found it I don’t think it is we actually asked where it was but we were directed to here which is just the B the Paddington beer this is the train to.
Shenfield Stratford next Station Street so after not finding the Paddington Bear store we headed over to Camden Market to check this place out there on as burgus look at that pizza me neither um I say we go up here and cut.
Through one of these side things some of these just cut right through the other we knew a place like this would be very difficult to find anything glutenfree but we kept pursuing and looking everywhere checking every store for hopefully some gluten-free options just when we were ready to give up we.
Found this place gluten-free lemon tot bacon and cheese croissant LTE these are Container Stores you know the storage containers so we left Camden Gardens and made our way over to hars of London now.
We weren’t really impressed with the area even not just the fact that it didn’t have gluten-free it was just old and not something that we really cared for so we’re on Oxford Street came across this building says BT on it don’t know what it is so my wife just taught me a.
Little trick take a picture of the building that you want to know what it is you might already know this trick but with an Apple phone you take the picture then you touch the information button on the picture it’ll tell say look up Landmark hit look up landmark and that was a telecomunications tower in London.
the sometimes this is what the subway feels like there is so much construction going on in London at the moment everywhere you look you see cranes and.
Scaffolding all sorts of work being done and here we are approaching Harry’s department store like I said you you got to go to hars if you’re in London ground floor there we go it’s going down too yeah chocolate haul so we started exploring herods it’s like there’s stores within the store there’s all these smaller little areas that sell.
Certain things whether it be books or liquor or chocolate or whatever it is it’s a huge store here we are in the chocolate area of herods trying to pick out some good chocolate wow and The Roastery bake home probably this way so fun if we can’t have them.
Together so so as much as I wanted to try some baked goods I just can’t do it with my wife not being able to get anything these are all loaves of bread so harage is a huge store so we’re trying to find our way back out we’re going back through the chocolate shop I’m just going to follow Janet she.
Seems to know where she’s going yeah but we didn’t come in this way yeah to yep that way woo so we made it out but you could spend I don’t know how long could you spend in there long a long time you get lost in there take you a long yeah you get lost there was at.
Least five or six floors I was listening to one of the guys telling somebody how many restaurants there were um and I lost count because on one of the levels there’s five restaurants or five different places that you can eat yep and uh so you could spend all day in there I guess so then we jumped back on the subway to make our way to dinner.
We’re going to a place that is totally glutenfree and here we are the name of the place is N I think that’s how you say it so we ordered the bread that came with oil to dip it in and I must say this is probably the best gluten-free bread that.
I’ve ever had that looks pretty good good perfect sa this yeah okay can take both just to make some so what’s this A what kind of pop pie I know chicken pop pie chicken po.
Pie and a chicken sittle we did leave room for dessert we ordered this chocolate caramel and honeycomb brownie okay we’ll be able to e that soon be cold by wait till you make Liv off for this you won’t ever be able to eat it yeah when you find a place that’s all.
Right Syracuse what did she say Syracuse yeah yep all the uh the states are here and North America North America all those all the celiacs come together yeah right right you find it when so we found very quickly that you don’t have to add a tip to your bill it’s already added for you and they don’t really give you.
An option to add more when you’re paying your bills so we just paid our bill so we just ate it N I think that’s how you see it say it uh totally GL gluten-free menu uh totally gluten-free restaurant in fact um even if you ordered a beer it was gluten-free beer I got wine I figured I did not want to try a gluten-free beer um but everything was.
Excellent the bread was probably as good as you get for greenfree bread it was good and both our meals were excellent I didn’t like the chicken pot pie uh just the flavor of it but the texture of everything it was really good I had the the chicken snitel which was excellent and then everything and oh and then we had uh dessert and the dessert was like.
A uh brownie with uh what was that on the side of bit on the brownie what was that supposed to be was that ice cream ice cream on um yeah yeah some sort of chofe it was good the brownie was good and then I had a martini I alternate alter I altered it from the way that they were going to.
Make it uh cuz I didn’t want to get tequila so it came with a um coffee flavored tequila but I had that taken out with that it was a very good martini and overall we liked it it was good so if you’re in London look for NJ and uh I’m putting all these links in the description below so that you can uh find all these.
Places so I will um I’ll put this in there as well anyway we’re on our back way back to the hotel we’re going to walk for about 15 minutes and then hop on a train the directly to the hotel so that ended day five we had to get up very early early in the morning and head to the Air Terminal 2 uh Jet Blue.
Yeah so we were up at 430 a.m. to catch our flight we took a taxi to the airport we just thought it would be easier and it was easy but it wasn’t cheap it ended up costing 100 lb Plus I threw in a tip so it was 120 lb it only took about 40 minutes to get us to the airport so timing wise it worked out.
Great great afternoon great day not that way here we are at the Airport Terminal 2 the Queen’s terminal making our way in we’re actually going to check our bags this time because we have some things that probably can’t be carried on the plane so we’re at the airport as.
Always we have uh 2 hours before our flight um we took the black cab from the hotel it only took uh less than 40 minutes less than 40 minutes but was 100 lb so it is expensive yeah plus I tipped so it.
Was 120 with tip 25 with tip and then add another 25ish to that so it’s $150 so much more expensive than taking the train however it took the pressure off us and it was easy and it was very comfortable so that’s.
That so as you can see we’re flying mint on Jet Blue I was able to do this because I racked up a bunch of points on my Jet Blue card running my business I bought everything all materials and so on that I could pay for with my credit card so got quite a few points I was able to get this flight for free is a little gift bag that they give you the.
The actual bag is is the best part of it it actually opens up into a backpack you get oh you can charge your phone they start you off with a little Mimosa before the.
Plate so here’s the menu it was pretty pretty good you got breakfast then you got some sandwiches a little bit later some um almost like high tea I ordered a uh English breakfast there were gluten-free options um she couldn’t have everything but most things it wasn’t that bad for the gluten-free options.
first up was a cup of coffee and a chocolate croissant so here’s the breakfast obviously Janet could not get any of the bread the toast and things like that but she was able to get the meat and the main breakfast itself couldn’t get that.
Dessert so here’s the afternoon tea I was able to have a couple small sandwiches and a biscuit Janet was only able to get the soup I believe I don’t think there was any other option for her so not very good for gluten-free in this section but she had what she had.
And that was that so we landed safe in Boston and headed back to home whenever we pass this gas tank we know we’re getting close this is in quiny Massachusetts
