Me to film around Dublin I was thinking about filming 24 hours eating only Italian food or eating only in tample bar or Dublin pubs I’ve got lots of different ideas but if you’ve got others you want me to share then be sure to write that down in the comments down below a little disclaimer make sure that you double check with the restaurant.
That it’s gluten-free to your requirements and check about cross contamination for yourself so I’m starting here at Gallagher’s boxy house right in the heart of Temple Bar boxy is a traditional Irish potato pancake which is naturally gluten-free so there are lots of options on the menu that are gluten-free friendly as you’ll see now.
So the boxy house has two different menus this is the full menu which is served for lunch and dinner there’s a choice of starters the fries are supposed to be very popular here chicken wings as well there’s some sharing platters that you can choose from all kinds of boxy good seafood platter arish cheeseboard and.
Then on to boxy all kinds of mains boxy to choose from chicken spice bag which is a popular Irish fast food classic there’s also fish and chips shepherd’s pie corn beef pork belly yep all different Irish traditional dishes stews and Dublin cuddle as well so you really can have all kinds of good goodies here some that are gluten-free some that.
Aren’t so just always be sure to check and ask as well couple of cocktails there as well and a bit of the story of Gallagher’s boxy house there’s also a Day menu so if you’re in during the day there’s a choice of items served till 3:00 p.m. for breakfast couple of those are glutenfree and then there are all the.
Brunch options which is one that I went for so the brunch options make some good meal options for during the day if you’re in before 3:00 p.m. so yeah those are the different menu options that are available during the day and also a couple of drink options there too if you like a whole picture of mimosa then that’s what you can do here at the boxy.
House so I went for the corn beef boxy which includes a fluffy boxy pancake with corn beef cabbage and parsley sauce as well as generous portion of salad as well so it makes a nice healthy option if you’re eating all kinds of Rich Irish meals it’s actually really light the pancake is super fluffy and the meat was really nice and tender and made for a.
Really nice light meal I found the the pancake wasn’t too stodgy as sometimes pancakes can be especially a potato pancake you think it would be quite stodgy but it was actually really light and fluffy I would have liked a little bit more meat there the meat was so flavorful and tender maybe I’m just greedy I wanted all the meat and all the.
Fillings but was really nice the bits of meat that I did have were really nice and really tender and flavorful and it went so well with all the accompaniments and that lovely creamy parsley sauce as well I found it to be really lovely and Hearty meal you can see a little bit more of the meat that was inside they were definitely a nice portion but yeah.
I would have liked a little bit more meat but we are in the middle of tble tble b i I guess it was good value for what it was the pancake was lovely light and fluffy and before long I was kind of down to the last little portion had saved all the bits of meat for last and lots of vegetables as well so yeah made for a lovely healthy meal in Temple Bar.
And I couldn’t really believe that the pancakes the boxy was gluten-free it was just so light so fluffy and just really so perfect but that was my visit here to the boxy house keep watching cuz I’m going to share lunch and dinner all around Dublin too for lunch I went to Millstone Steakhouse which has a whole Celiac friendly menu so this is the.
Tourist an Express lunch €1 1395 12 to 4 p.m. for 7 days all gluten-free so there’s an incredible choice of options of Steakhouse favorites that are glutenfree and it’s just brilliant really so gluten-free you can come here and have a whole Celiac friendly menu this is their main menu with main course or starter in a main course with all.
Kinds of options cluding seafood chowder over there and there’s burgers and steak fish and chips salmon muscles and Fritz lamb shank which sounds so good maybe next time when I’m in I’ll try it and some sides too the restaurant initially was relatively quiet when I was there but very quickly filled up so I definitely suggest booking a table I was.
Kind of Lucky and C got one of the last tables that wasn’t reserved the restaurant itself is quite beautiful and ornate inside and I found the stuff to be really friendly and really helpful while I was there as well so I went for the gluten-free steak sandwich with fries really beautifully cooked piece of steak over there I asked for it medium.
And the fries which were seasoned with paprika and really tasty too there was a peppercorn sauce which I’m not a fan of peppercorn sauce so I wasn’t a fan of it either but it was well cooked steak I yeah asked for it for medium and was nice and pink inside and the bread was lovely too that came with the sandwich you could just order the steak and.
Without a steak sandwich but I just thought it’d be nice to have the gluten-free bread since I’m going for gluten-free and here is a fork full with the gluten-free bread steak and there were also mushrooms caramelized mushroom and onion or sauted there as well it was a hearty tasty lunch was so full after this as well those fries everything was.
Just really good well cooked definitely suggest a visit to milstone restaurant when you’re in Dublin after that hearty meal I took a couple of hours to walk around and Shop I love visiting Crafton Street yeah it’s very busy always there but I live out in the countryside in County wicko so it’s nice to kind of be in the city and do a bit of shopping.
When I’m in there so I did that worked up a bit of an appetite and then felt like an afternoon treat and since I was on Grafton Street I decided to head to bues which is very.
Popular always very busy Cafe restaurant that has all kinds of options you can go there for breakfast for lunch or for afternoon treats as I did here’s a closer look at their whole menu of options for breakfast lunch and they’ve got an in-house Bakery and Patisserie making all kinds of goodies as you’ll see as far as gluten-free options on the.
Day that I visited the gluten-free options were either cheesecake or a brownie yeah so C and I went for the chocolate brownie that was served with a scoop of ice cream that was so rich so chocolaty so.
Decadent I have a crazy sweet tooth so I couldn’t resist having a bit of chocolate in my gluten-free day this is gluten-free and the brownie is vegan as well so all kinds of dietary requirements met here and cracking into the brownie it was so dense and so chocolatey have to have it with with a bit of ice cream too and made for such a.
Nice sweet treat after having all those Savory meals earlier I love a bit of chocolate brownie with ice cream what an absolute indulgent treat and yeah I do have a real sweet tooth and in the blog post down below I’ve got a lot more options of gluten-free treats all around Dublin that you can check out as well because there really are a lot of.
Options a lot of the cafes have one gluten one or two gluten-free options that are pretty indulgent and make for a lovely way to spend a bit of time when you’re in Dublin and all too soon I was down to my last few morsels of my indulgent gluten-free chocolate browny at bues and made for a lovely afternoon treat I spent a little bit more time.
Shopping walking around graft and Street and all the shops around the city center of Dublin and when it was eventually time to have dinner I found my way to vice vice serve up incredible homemade pizza that you can make gluten-free any pizza that they serve you can swap for a gluten-free crust so here’s a full look at the menu advice they do wings and.
Tenders as well and the pizza is with hand crushed tomatoes these are all the different options for tomato based pizza and they also do white base with no crushed tomatoes if you’re not a huge fan of tomato I’m not a huge tomato fan so I went for one of the white based pizzas so this was the beauty that I ordered the goat Pizza which includes.
Goat cheese caramelized onion organic mozzarella plenty of seasoning and a really unique Sesame infused gluten-free crust it was truly a remarkable Pizza loaded with flavor you really wouldn’t even notice that it’s glutenfree I found it to be super cheesy super flavorful really one of the best pizzas that I’ve had in Ireland never mind gluten-free or.
Not you can see pizza looks like a regular pizza it’s gluten-free couldn’t really taste the difference it was so good so flavorful we’ll definitely be heading back to Vice Pizza to have the gluten-free pizza again and this one was just absolutely incredible but that brings us to the end of the video with 24 hours eating only gluten-free food in.
