Deliciously Light and Fluffy Treats for Everyone

For those looking to indulge in a delicious gluten-free treat, Chris has shared a delightful recipe for gluten-free scones. The ingredient list includes 350g of gluten-free flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, a pinch of salt, 3 teaspoons of sugar, 75g of frozen grated butter, 2 egg whites, and 250ml of buttermilk. It’s important to note that the flour used contains wheat starch; therefore, if you have a wheat allergy, it’s advisable to choose a different brand. Additionally, if the gluten-free flour lacks a binder, incorporating ½ to 1 teaspoon of xanthan gum will help achieve the right texture.

The baking process is straightforward, as these scones can be baked in a conventional oven at 200°C for approximately 17 minutes. The combination of ingredients promises a flavorful and satisfying treat that can be enjoyed by those adhering to a gluten-free diet. Whether you’re planning a tea party or simply craving a cozy snack, these scones are sure to please.
