Very interesting name but I think why the name is called that is because it’s actually the post code so we’re going here I have been once before I was there on a Sunday as well it’s a Sunday today two different menus a Sunday menu and then like a midweek menu I think they’re closed on Monday and Tuesday and I’ll put in their Instagram in the.
Description down below for anyone that’s interested it’s a very nice cozy place it’s new I think it only opened around April this year um but the gluten-free menu is so extensive like almost everything can be made gluten-free on this menu I know from being there before that things like say the stuffing which never would normally be gluten-free you.
Think they’d like leave that out for the gluten-free is glutenfree free and also things that are deep fried like the Croquettes are also gluten-free so it’s going to be really fun to go there I don’t know what I’m going to have yet I wish I was going kind of midweek as well to try the stuffing sandwich cuz that looked really good but I am feeling like.
A roast dinner and this is the kind of menu that they have on a Sunday so they have things like all day breakfast they have lunch options and they also have a gluten-free roast dinner which has been very hard to find in Cork before so I’m thinking I’m probably going to go for that and of course course a gluten-free dessert if I can have it so let’s head.
There now I have this dress on my pump is strapped on at the back you can’t see it I’ve never actually worn a pump on the back before but this video is all B gluten-free so let’s go and get a nice Sunday dinner the desserts Chang week by week when I was here last time I actually got this.
Benaf pie and that was so good this week I decided to go for the white chocolate and Berry cheesecake gluten-free and oh my God it was so good it was so filling I could barely finish this but let me tell you I really wanted to finish this because it tasted delicious the base was really nice nice and crumbly not dry like you would think for gluten-free but.
It was really nice and oh there was chunks of white chocolate in the cheesecake that was the best part like I said the menu changes week on week they do Sundays as well I’ve never had a Sunday but I would definitely try one in the future there’s so much choice that honestly it’s hard to even choose one thing last time I actually it was in one.
Of my Vlogs I can’t remember which Vlog it was I think it was my divers Vlog that was it I actually ended up getting a chocolate cake and a peanut butter cup and taking them home as well because it was so nice but all in all this was a really good experience overall this place is amazing for anyone who’s on a gluten-free diet or Celiac like me.
Plenty of dessert options you’ll have so much choice you won’t know what to do or pick Like Me Maybe I’ll even take some home and the mains there can be so many Mains I didn’t have a starter this time I will try that again I will definitely go back to try more things but it’s amazing for gluten-free and the staff are really knowledgeable and know.
Exactly what you can have what you can’t have or what they can change to make a gluten-free so I would definitely recommend T12 hello everyone and welcome to number two in my video here of of the best places to go for gluten-free food in cor this one is a takeaway that’s why I’m sitting in the car it is a Thai restaurant it’s called golden elephant.
It is an actual restaurant that you can sit in but it also does a takeaway and I’m taking it away because I want it’s Friday I want to go home and watch a movie with my food and the restaurant is really nice it’s small enough I’ve never been sitting in it before you go there to pick up the food if you have to like me if there’s no delivery so picking up.
The food now I’ve already ordered Ed it but you can sit in it’s really nice actually inside I don’t have any footage so you’ll have to just take my word it’s small enough so I would maybe call ahead if I was going there on a busy Saturday or Friday night but takeaway is equally as good I’ve had it a few times now but I’m going to talk about what I’m going.
To order so I’ve actually only discovered this place recently and I found it from another Celiac and type 1 diabetic friend because what’s really good about this place they have lots and lots of gluten-free on the menu there is also an option down the very bottom where you can take gluten-free and that’s just kind of an extra precaution.
Any time I’ve gotten from there before there’s always been gluten-free marked on the bag first time I was there and I was picking up the order they chatted with me and they went through everything to make sure it does say that’s not 100% Celiac safe but that they’ll try their best and I always kind of write a little note in the comments as well to say.
Gluten-free and I’m Celiac I’ve never had any issues my friends have never had any issues so they do take cross contamination very seriously but I feel like kind of all places put this disclaimer so I’ll say it in the video as well what I’m ordering as you can see there’s so much choice on the menu like I don’t eat a lot of Thai food so it’s.
Kind of like I don’t really know what to order the first time usually I would have had mamam Curry if I had ever been to like a Thai restaurant mamam Curry is on the menu of this place I’ve actually had it one time it was very good but for today I’m ordering my favorite it’s only my favorite because of this restaurant golden elephant so.
So what I’m ordering is cashew not chicken cashew not so what I’m ordering is chicken cashew not and I’m actually ordering the traditional style there’s like a dry one and I guess one with sauce a wet one but the dry one is the one I like it’s so nice it’s like spicy it has heat the chicken is really good there’s like bits of cashew not and I’m.
Ordering it with Jasmine rice and even though it’s like a dry kind of Curry I guess you don’t need it with a sauce I find it’s actually really good on its own so I’m getting chicken cashew note with Jasmine rice and the best thing that I love on this is that they have pra to gluten-free and it’s not like something that they make a normal one.
And then they make a non- gluten-free one it’s actually always gluten-free so they always make it with gluten-free bread so you don’t even have to like request it to be made gluten-free and I tried this because my boyfriend the first time was like you should try it and I was like I don’t know if I really like pra toast but this is amazing like.
It’s so good it’s so so so so good so I’m getting that we’re also getting chicken sé because the peanut sauce that’s on those chicken skewers is so nice as well and oh I’m getting hungry thinking about all of this now I need to go and get it so I’m going to go pick it up um the other other things look really good on the menu I have tried before.
Like a mango they’re like little mango rice balls dessert they were okay I didn’t go mad at them but I think I’m more of like a chocolate person and there’s some interesting things on the menu new I would love to try them all but like when you find something so good you kind of pick it again so basically we’re getting chicken cashew nut with.
Jasmine rice we’re getting prawn toast gluten-free everything’s gluten-free and we’re getting chicken s with the peanut sauce and that is to share and it’s going to be so good so let’s go and pick it up so we’ve acquired the food you can see gluten-free is literally written on loads of parts of the receipt up here as well so I’m really happy with that wait.
Until I show you everything going to put it out on the plate and going to have a really nice dinner so this is the toast if you could smell this pra toast it smells so good so it’s all gluten-free bread like I said and it look oh it smells so nice there’s a little dip as well but it’s so good on its own got the rice just normal.
Rice there for with the m here’s my chicken cashino if you can just see it says gluten-free on there as well which makes me feel very assured that it is glue free and look in here oh it’s so good it smells so good like if you could see this so that’s all the chicken there’s cashew nuts there there’s vegetables there you can see there’s.
Like a bit of a like glaze almost sauce kind of thing that I’m going to keep from my main course and then I’ll just show you the chicken saté here is the peanut sauce that comes with and then I’ll show you the chicken so I’ll just open a bit there CU I have to try and protect the food from B here’s the chicken so it does have that.
Kind of saté sauce on it there all ready but then you have the extra to dip into so this is all so good I’m so excited let’s try the toast first look at this oh my God it smells so good it’s so nice and I don’t really like prawns or like fish I thought it would be like real strong taste but it’s not it’s like.
Deep fried bread it’s so good we going to try the chicken sa so chicken looks really good dip it in the sauce oh my God I love the peanut sauce Lana is desperate but she’s not getting any the chicken’s really good but it’s the peanut sauce cuz it has like a little peanut bits in it as well it makes it so.
Good and the final course we have the rice this is the jasmine rice it’s really good it’s so like fluffy and here’s the main so it’s the chicken cashew I literally had to bite it’s so spicy oh my God so it’s like a glazed kind of chicken the chicken is like fried and then there’s peppers and carrots and obviously.
Cashews it tastes sweet but then you have the bits of the cashew which are nice but also it is a bit of a spice like there’s a whole chili in there as well on the top of mine I just had a bite and it’s so spicy but I really love it you got to have it with some milk but this was everything from golden elephant it tastes so good I definitely recommend.
Everything that I got here my favorite I think that there my favorite is the prawn toast cuz you just can’t beat that and the fact that you can get a gluten-free is so good so I’m going to go enjoy this and definitely recommend golden elephant in Cork hello so today’s gluten-free place that we’re going to is for.
Desserts so I put a picture on the screen here it’s brat KNX that’s how you say it gluten-free bakes so it’s actually in a shopping center and it’s there every Friday and Saturday from like half N1 till around 2 but only Fridays and Saturdays and I’ve had it before the cakes are amazing and there’re so many different things that.
You just normally wouldn’t get gluten-free and also the prices are so good as well cuz normally gluten-free is expensive but these are really reasonable and you get big cakes so I’m excited to go in here so we’re going to go into the shopping center I’ll put it down in the description below in case people are wondering where that is and.
We’re going to get some glit andfree cake okay it’s really warm but I’ve been into the shopping center and I put a little clip secured the cakes wait till you see them so I’ve gotten four cakes but honestly the size of one of them is the size of about three gluten-free cakes so.
Let me show you what I got so you saw from the clips there’s plenty of choice and I have had different things before but I’ve gotten these two which I’ve had before and two new ones and first of all we’ll start with this massive one this is the Apple sponge and it is absolutely amazing and look at the size of it so it’s huge first of all.
It’s about the size of I think like two big cakes but it’s one cake so there’s lovely Apple layer in there and the sponge is really good that’s my favorite so I had to get it comparison here’s my hand so you can see it’s like bigger than my fist so that shows how big it is next one up we have a white chocolate donut so it’s like a baked dut see here.
Underneath there with white chocolate on top and sprinkles I’ve had that before it’s really nice so I’m looking forward to that we’ll try it again and then two new ones so this is Rocky Road which I’ve never seen before and a salted caramel brownie normally you don’t love salted caramel but it looks so good it’s really like gooey on top so all of this.
Box was $1250 which is amazing because first of all the size of this like this would normally be like probably 7 or 8 on its own and like normally these things are probably like four or5 on their own so I think it’s really really good value and they just look amazing so taking 40 G of carbs which is four units of inant for me at this time of day and.
I’m going to have half of this bite of that and just a taster of the others so that should be fine blood sugar is six at the moment so that should be perfect okay we’re going for The Salted Caramel brownie first just a little taster of that and it is roasting in the car so probably going to be very messy let’s give this a taste I’m really excited to.
Try the top here m that’s really good the brownie is so good itself and The Salted Caramel is actually good cuz sometimes it’s sometimes you can get salted caramel brownie that’s just too much but this is perfect the brownie is so gooey I really like that I’m going to save the rest for later that I normally.
Don’t get like chocolatey cakes cuz I feel like everywhere you go you can get a glutenfree brownie so sometimes I don’t get brownies from new places but this is worth getting okay so that’s unreal and you can see well we shed half of it here and there’s still like a really good event left which would almost be a whole Bernie so I’m going to.
While I’m on the chocolate Street going to try the rocky road which I’ve never had before just a little bit okay let’s give this a go I don’t even really know what rocky road is like cuz I feel like it’s not something you really get glimp for I feel like this is going to be messy there’s biscuit in there m I like that a lot so you can see.
Really nice gluten-free biscuit pieces sorry about my face but it’s really good as you can tell okay that was so nice well sticking with the chocolate theme but white chocolate now so we have the white chocolate donut I have had this before I know it’s really good baked donut really good I love white chocolate.
As well that’s really nice and the donut it’s like sponge cake it’s really nice if you like you know that kind of baked gluten-free Don you really like this and she had other ones she had a chocolate one and I think a plain one as well but I love white chocolate Okay full disclaimer I am going to eat a whole slice of this but I’m just going.
To have a taste for you on camera so yeah well when I say the whole thing I mean this half that’s what I mean but look at that wow so like I said I’m going to finish this here it’s so soft honestly if you like like apple or fruit flavor things and you’re coming here to try it this is the best one.
Definitely get this look at the size of that I’m I’m eating half of a half and this is the size of it okay all of those cakes were so good so that was breaths gluten-free bakes um like I said I’ll put the info in the description down below they’re in the shopping center every Friday and Saturday until 2 and the cakes are.
Amazing so I definitely recommend so that was a great little gluten-free sweet treat to have in Cork morning everyone and welcome to the new place we’re going today me and L are outside so it’s a bit more of a chill Vibe I guess where we’re going today and if you like SI bows eggs eggs bendic brunch that kind of thing this place will be.
Perfect for you and a lot of the options are gluten-free the Smoothie Bowl which is what I want to get is not gluten-free originally but they adapted to make it gluten-free so what they do for that and you have to ask is they put in gluten-free granola which is definitely gluten-free cuz I’ve seen the Big Tub it’s from the brand the foods of at and.
R but just don’t forget to ask for the gluten-free option so I think it’s kind of like that I think like most things aren’t gluten-free on the menu but then they can adapt them to make them gluten-free but it’s a nice kind of healthy Sunday morning brunch spot nice walk along the beach I think they do really good coffee I don’t drink coffee.
As well from my boyfriend he says that if you like coffee so I thought it would be a good one to put in the video and I’ve been there a few times and I felt fine after so nice Sunday morning treat let’s go get some smoothie bowls this is the walk up to the bean and Berry Cafe as you can see it’s a really big place there’s lots of space and what’s really.
Cool is the so if you look out where you park your car you’re like right along the beach which is really really nice especially if you’re sitting inside you get a really nice view lots of tables outside good for when it’s sunny but let’s go inside today as you can see here’s the famous smoothie Bowl so there’s four flavors but I’m going to.
Get dragon fruit because that one is my favorite lots of different pastries and other options I didn’t take a picture of the menu but they have things like eggs benedict that kind of thing here is my smoothie bow which is amazing I love the color of the dragon fruit it’s so pink it’s so nice and it’s almost like Frozen like an ice cream which makes it taste.
So good uh here I am taking my Bolas usually I go for around 55 G of carbs you can see what that is in insulin but the gluten-free granola is like a toasted kind of crispy rice there’s bananas strawberries blueberries honey on top it’s really really good and you actually get loads of granola down the bottom I just wanted to show you that as.
