Delightful Dining Experience: Allergy-Friendly Eats at EPCOT’s Food Festival
Hey friends Kristen here and you’re watching chose to the magic and today I came into Epcot to have a little lunch do a little lunch review um I am back at communicore Plaza sitting in the communicore hall right now and I really wanted to see if they’d be able to do the aapas safe for gluten allergies and for my egg intolerance and they work so.
I’ve got the one that’s got chicken and avocado they did have to do it without the sauce so they gave me a little lime to squeeze on the side but it’s actually a pretty decent size I had seen them on video and I wasn’t sure and i’ also heard they were cold so we’re going.
To we’re going to see about this I love lime so I’m going to squeeze the lime all over it and they put like a pretty good I don’t know I got this on cinematic so that you can’t see everybody standing behind me but um they put a pretty good uh pile of the avocado and Chicken in here and it looks like d meat chicken.
Which is fantastic because I love dark meat okay that is not lacking flavor y’all that’s very good I can definitely taste cilantro so if cilantro is not your jam that might be a little off it’s almost um it’s like a guacamole it’s not like sliced avocado it’s like a guacamole.
Um that’s very good though the chicken’s tender it’s not like piping hot but um it’s warm it’s tasty like the cheese is melted there’s also cheese in there I don’t actually know what kind of cheese it is I don’t think it’s set on the uh on the thing yeah I can’t tell just taking a bite of it it’s got um sweet and savory Vibes so.
The corn the corn cake that it’s um housed in is sweet it’s got a very sweet and it’s kind of like it’s crispy the outside of it is crispy it’s very sweet soft it’s got the sweet corn taste and then the inside is very Savory with the the guacamole is very well seasoned and then the cheese and the chicken it’s a very good.
Combination and this is probably since it’s in the Festival Favorites Booth I’m assuming this has been offered in festivals in the past um if it has been it’s something that I have not tried before so I’m very excited to uh know that this is this is a thing that I can have now it’s also just such a good portion size that I mean I can make a.
Meal out of this for sure and if you wanted to try both they have another one that’s just uh cheese stuffed and it comes with a uh Kema and it’s got um CA cheese on it so if you wanted to um maybe like try both and split with somebody that’d be a good option too so in addition to the aapas um the Festival Favorites Booth also has a selection of.
Beers and wines and they do have a cider um I did not get that to try today but uh that is an option as well if you’re gon free I did also want to go over the ordering process for food allergies here so it is very similar to how you order at a festival Booth you will walk up to the register and tell the cast member what your allergies are the cast member.
Will then call the chef on a special phone and consult with them and let you know if what you are wanting to order is going to be safe for you to have and in this instance they also gave the phone to the staff in the kitchen so that the chef could tell them how to properly PR prepare my meal after that you will pay and go around the corner and they will.
Call your name when your order is ready oh look y’all across the way there’s a uh little section with picnic tables and some covered seating over there I didn’t actually notice all that the last time I was here checking it out so that’s nice so there is a little bit of covered seating out here if you want to sit outside and step.
Inside I hear these restrooms are awesome also there’s a little water bottle filler station right there always good to know all right y’all so some thoughts after finishing lunch um Great Value I ate the whole thing and that was like the perfect amount for lunch um like I’m full now and it cost me.
$6.50 so um for the amount like I guess for how filling it is that’s a great price for lunch so today’s going to be kind of a short video this is this is it I came out here to get some lunch and do a little lunch review I’ve been hearing about these aapas and I wanted to just uh taste them and let you guys know how it is and also check on the status if.
They could be made gluten friendly which I know that aapas generally are gluten-free I believe in most places I just wasn’t sure about the egg so I’m happy to find out that that’s option a nice little low price option for kind of a lighter lunch out here at atpt um I’m excited you guys I want to share with you some of the things that.
We have coming up here pretty soon um going on a Disney cruise here in gosh like three weeks so I’m really excited about that uh my husband and I are going to try to do a little bit better at uh getting content this time and showing you guys what’s going on we didn’t uh we didn’t get all that we wanted to during our virgin Cruise recently just because.
We were a little overwhelmed with everything and it was just a lot and so we didn’t do as good as we wanted to so we plan to do much better on this upcoming Disney Cruise we’re very excited we’re going to be with some really good friends of ours and uh yeah it’s going to be a good time so I can’t wait to bring you guys along for that um.
