Gluten Free Sausage Balls – Video Transcript

Hi everyone today I’m going to show you how I make my gluten-free sausage balls these things have been around since the dawn of time not really but I’ve had the original recipe since I was 15 working in my first medical office and I’m basically old enough to be most of y’all’s mother I was in love with them then I’m still in love with them they’re.

Cheesy full of wonderful sausage flavor and so easy your kids could make them okay in this bowl I’ve already weighed out 420 G of my gluten-free allpurpose flour blend which is 3 cups and I’m just adding 1 and 1/2 teaspoons of salt and 1 tbsp of baking powder and I’ll just give this a quick little whisk I hope y’all had a great merry Christmas it was a bit.

Different at my house this year we actually haven’t celebrated Christmas yet because my daughter was super sick with the flu and my mom my poor mom fell on Christmas Eve so we’ll find out if she broke a rib today so it’s been quite unusual and challenging but Santa did manage to find his way down my mom and dad’s chimney um for my little nephews.

Who are in town visiting and we actually door dashed sushi for Christmas dinner because at that point none of us wanted to cook much so of course mine was gluten-free and if you ever happen to be in Virginia Beach and you love sushi check out Yama Sushi it is the best so I’ve added to this 10 oz or 282 G of sharp cheddar cheese that I actually.

Shredded myself and I also added 169 G or 3/4 cup of softened butter and 453 G or one pound of bulk pork sausage can you make this with another type of sausage you sure can I just like the bulk pork pork sausage I usually get the Jimmy Dean all natural variety but they were out at the store so I ended up with the regular variety but you can make.

This with Italian sausage you can make it probably with chizo I don’t know whatever kind of flavors that you can find at the store you can make it with so I’m just going in here with my hand and I’m I’m just kind of Folding It and and um mushing it together kind of like I would make my meatballs after a few minutes of mixing.

You’ll have this sausy cheesy dough and I like to make them using my smallest ice cream scoop this is about an inch or so I think to make little one bite balls that are just perfect for parties and get togethers so just scoop out the dough roll it between your palms just like meatballs and place it onto parchment line baking.

Sheets I’ve got my oven preheated to 375° F and I’ll pop these babies in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown and then I just serve them piled high in a bowl or you can arrange them on a platter with toothpicks they can be made in advanc unbaked or baked and stored in the fridge or freezer in the fridge for.

A few days and in the freezer for a few months you can bake them from Frozen just add a few minutes to your baking time and I bet these babies will be the very first thing that goes from your party table they’re so addictive people can’t eat just one happy new here
