Mason Jar Brunch Review: Indulging in Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free Southern Cuisine on RCCL’s Wonder of the Seas

On a Royal Caribbean cruise, we had the pleasure of dining at Mason Jar, a Southern Restaurant and Bar that offered gluten-free options. We enjoyed a delicious Watermelon Salad, Deviled Eggs, and Sweet Potato Hash, all of which catered to our dietary restrictions. Specialty dining can sometimes be challenging for those with dietary needs, but Mason Jar exceeded our expectations.

The flavors of Southern cooking shone through in every dish, making for a memorable dining experience on our cruise. From the fresh ingredients to the impeccable presentation, Mason Jar proved to be a highlight of our culinary adventures at sea. If you’re looking for a taste of the South while sticking to your gluten-free diet, Mason Jar is a must-try on your next Royal Caribbean sailing.

Southern Comforts at Sea: A Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free Delight on RCCL’s Wonder of the Seas!

Mason jar is a southern style restaurant on board Royal Caribbean’s wonder of the Seas as a Southern girl myself raised in the Carolinas I had a pretty high standard for these foods but as a gluten-free dairyfree pescatarian we put off this restaurant assuming that everything would contain Bacon fat and breaded fried foods basically everything.

We can’t eat but here we found a warm southern hospitality and even a little bit of whatever fun this is welcome to the Mason jar Mason jar is located right next to the Wind Jammer buffet and when we learned that the dedicated gluten-free fryer that Wind Jammer uses is located.

Inside the Mason jar kitchen we decided to give this menu a second look their kids menu didn’t have much of anything for our kiddos but the brunch menu had some interesting egg dishes and since mason jar brunch was one of the most economically priced specialty dining options on our ceilings we gave it a shot on our last full day on board yes.

We paid extra for this meal the Cozy decor and Country Tunes really set the tone The Vibes in this place they’re really cute they’re cute they had to modify some of the offerings for our diet but many southern cooking favorites were still there maybe the most beautiful watermelon.

Salad I was excited about the jalapeno the jalapeno on the watermelon thought it would be interesting but be careful what you wish for hot the devil eggs are good as double eggs generally are a favorite I love the mint on the salad the jalapeno had a serious kick my lips are still.

Burning a little bit but I think the star is the sweet potato hash it’s really um sweet there’s kind of a mush to it almost like a um maybe some syrup Blended in there’s kind of mapley but it’s a little Smokey too there’s a a good presence of peppers and it’s great um the thing I find least interesting is the spinach omelette because without the.

Cheese you don’t get any ooey gooey like pimento cheese would go really far in some of these dishes but what you going to do I’ve been hoping to make a vegan pinted cheese but that’s a big feat to accomplish so we’ll see what was your favorite thing the four devil EGS you ate cucumbers and carrots were your.

Cucumbers I like the I like the jelly toast yeah and I and I hate the jalapeno and the salmon I feel like the devil eggs were probably my favorite cuz like the sweet potato hash I feel like that’s something we can get pretty frequently I mean double EGS are too but like there was a.

Really nice like I like the smokiness I like the pickle relish on top I like the dressing on the watermelon salad it had a really nice flavor to it yeah and at the end of the day I just really like the presentation and the way it’s being served and it’s really just it’s it’s fun when it was time for dessert they.

Brought us a gluten-free dairyfree pineapple cake we’d had this same cake in the main dining room and in Coastal Kitchen but this plating was a distinctly Southern presentation wow that’s so pretty and this was the prettiest fruit plate we had on the whole sailing hi guys so I have a wiggly.

Tooth oh gross does the Tooth Fairy come on cruise ship yeah thank you so much I don’t know mason jar has a warm Southern Hospitality that truly gives this corner of the ship its own special atmosphere if you don’t don’t have dietary restrictions the chicken and waffles Pino cheese and biscuits and gravy all.

Looked fantastic but even if you do give it a try or at the very least come to the bar maybe have some bourbon or a beer and kick back and stay a while we definitely won’t wait until the last day of our sailing next time we cruise with Royal Caribbean if you want to see more wonder of the Seas be sure to subscribe because on the next video we’re taking.
