Hello everyone welcome back to the holistic Homemaker Channel my name is Jenna and in this space we knit things we bake things we sew things sometimes we Garden we do Mom things we do things from scratch in the house and today I am super excited because if you’re new to this space uh I have Hashimoto which means I.

Cannot have any gluten or any dairy products you talking about what am I talking about I don’t know your I can’t I have a a poultry allergy as well so um that’s all kind of developed within the last year and a half two years I’ve had hashimotos for much longer it was just undiagnosed but all the food changes and things like.

That have happened in the last about year and a half so I have been tinkering with gluten-free recipes and bread has been my biggest challenge I don’t love the the way that store bought gluten-free bread tastes I have found a couple they taste all right um but I used to be like an avid from scratch bread Baker and I really have just been.

Trying to find that recipe that was going to be milk you are camera down here you got to set the camera down there so you can see okay I’m trying to find my perfect bread recipe okay what you want to do buddy cheers good Jack is what are you eating Qui toast and milk french toast and milk.

Delicious I’m going to be trying a recipe that I found on Pinterest I’m going to test it out with you guys to see if it is worthy or not of adding into my cycle I did post a real or excuse me a short recently of these drop biscuits I found a recipe for drop biscuits it was not dairyfree it I had to make a lot of.

Different alterations to them and they turned out perfect so I will be sharing those with you guys really soon I made a batch the other day I forgot to film it and then we ate them all so I kind of like flopped that one but today we’re going to be making two loaves of a French baguette and they’re going to be glutenfree and dairy free and hopefully.

Delicious let’s get started if you are new to this space please consider giving us a like and a subscribe Jack and I like to bake things together on here we also are crazy gardeners in the back and everything has been thriving so much in the backyard lately I am so excited to get canning seasoning season going and to really.

Just start freezing stuff and getting all of our fresh produce stocked up I tried really hard to be I oh that’s a lot babe I think that’s enough good job buddy um really excited to get our produce stocked up I was very intentional of what I decided to plant this year and I am really proud of how.

It’s turning out back there I would of course Go and show you right now you can look at this short and um take a look at what’s growing cuz right now it is absolutely flooded in the backyard and flooded in the front yard and it has been pouring since about 4:00 this morning so uh let’s go ahead and get started on our bread but if you want to.

Stick around you like any of the things I’ve said so far uh give this video a like and a subscribe I so exciting what are we doing first the flower yeah I I got grp it okay that’s one cup and I’ll get you more okay dump one.

More this one is the tapioca mom wa it go ahead and dump that one oh wait hold on let me do this real quick jump to recipe I me make sure I’m doing it right two teaspoons two teaspoons dump that one.

One you want more SC I got hold it go ahead dump it get all of it out okay I got hold my boo Jackie I know just give me one second okay mommy has to divide this egg okay see you divide the.

Egg no don’t play the why that’s raw eggs jaffy I got come here come here come here come here come here come here I have to get the big machine out remember Sil cous.

What’s what’s this yeah this is the kitchen aid okay that’s what’s called Kitchen Aid mixer okay Mom I get it off all the dough so hey Mom hey babe so m you it’s so nice to meet me this that’s the mixer what this right here that locks it in place see look so when I put this down it locks it.

So that I can’t get up and that unlocks it pretty cool huh but it’s really heavy so got to keep it locked I so now that the mixture is looking whipped as the recipe says I’m going to cover it up with a lid and pop it in the.

Fridge it says 30 minutes to 3 days we’re going to do 30 minutes because I want to have this with dinner tonight so um yeah let’s cover it up and put it in the fridge show me how to do it nice job buddy just getting the bread out what are you doing.

So hard it’s really hard to open my to your Towers over here baby with your strawberries I want your towel I want my towel right there okay just give me a second baby cuz Mommy’s got to do this real quick I’m so far away I know very far away huh dust it we start to turn over a few.

Times need it gently to smooth to smooth the dough okay where trying to make a dough ball the best that I can okay use this in half to the best of our ability okay and then working one piece of dough.

At a time okay so we’re going to set this one off to the side dusting very lightly as necessary to prevent sticking shape the bread into a cylinder by pinching together only the Peaks I I will both and and roll it down and Roll It Roll what down the bread yeah okay you can roll the next one but you have.

I’m going to put some flour right here and you got to put your hands in it like Mommy okay go ahead put your hands in the flower so that the dough doesn’t stick to your hands okay and then do your other hand your other hand and now you’re going to take your dough okay.

Let’s go ahead you want to roll that little piece you got some flow mhm I it oh it’s so hard very cool yeah it is cool I was moving the bread over there now I got to cover the bread.

up really quickly while I’m he’s like rearranging Furniture in the garage I don’t know why this child is doing before I forget to show you all we harvested some radishes from the garden and I pickled them I don’t know if you can really.

See they are not only beautiful but they are delicious and all I did for the pickling process is it’s just apple cider vinegar and water mixture so super super basic and they’ve been in the fridge for a little over a week now so they are super pickly but it’s crazy because you don’t really get.

The pickle effect until after the fact it tastes like a radish straight up super crunchy and then like the after taste is all pickly it’s so good so after the recipe calls for it to rise 150% of its original.

Size this is what it looked like not 150% um but it was almost 3 hours and that just seems wild to me and it felt like it just kept getting flatter so I went ahead and put it in the oven I’m about to take it out and we’ll see what happens I feel like this has been a huge disappointment of a.

Bread recipe so uh let’s try it out give it a taste test and see if it was a user error um you guys saw earlier that Jack did spill yeast everywhere so this could be a yeast problem this could be a lack of humidity problem in my proofing um let’s find out.

Right number one pretty sad and that also looks really sad so it says to bake it for 18 minutes turning it at the halfway mark and they look one under.

Done but I’m nervous to bake it for longer because it is starting to get really Brown um I don’t know let’s taste it and see what happens okay so this good one looks good it just didn’t rise enough and that’s such a.

Bummer cuz it did get nice Bubbles and everything like that looks really nice I can cut those in half and make almost like a Tora um but I just hate how homemade gluten-free bread when I make it it’s just so pasty looking let’s just give it the rip is nice too it does smell really good too it smells kind of sour.

Doughy honestly it tastes like just nothing how does it taste like nothing it literally tastes like nothing oh said you bummer okay well I will keep it going I’m going to eat it fill it with something delicious maybe I’ll make like meatball sub or something.

With this baguette one make a torto like a steak torto with this other one but fill it with flavors cuz this tastes like nothing nothing weird well trial and error if you guys are in the gluten-free Journey um feel free to send me your homemade bread recipe because I so tired of wasting flour.

And having to buy the cardboard at the store is just such a bummer I want to be able to find a foolproof gluten-free recipe that tastes good like this smells like bread it literally tastes like nothing this is the weirdest bread experience I’m like chewing bread texture with no flavor um let me know your recipes where you.
