Bonding over Baking: A Simple Gluten-Free Banana Bread Recipe to Make with Your Little One!
Glutenfree banana bread yes today we’re going to be making some gluten-free banana bread well let’s get started huh first we’re going to start mashing up our bananas I got two frozen bananas and two fresh riped bananas you help mashing those up at all or you think you got.
Handled he please yeah how mashed is up to you you leave bigger chunks you’re going to end up with bigger chunks in your banana loaf so it doesn’t really matter if you don’t mash it super well but if you want them no chunks then you got to make sure to mash it well after that we’re going to.
Add now we’re going to add one egg go ahead and mash that in there tent I’m whoa but I can’t go like through it okay how about I do it some on the counter it’s all right it works y yep add 3/4 of a cup of sugar so why don’t you go ahead and add that one.
In all yep flour uh nope not the flour yet want to stir that a little bit going to add 1/3 of a cup of butter keep mixing and we’re add a teaspoon of vanilla mix that up some good perfect dad let me turn the other.
Mixture this one is a little hard to mix uh yeah we’ll let you mix the dry stuff all right now we’re going to do the dry ingredients don’t you pour that cup of flour in there this is actually a cup and a half of gluten-free flour oh and a teaspoon of baking soda a teaspoon of baking.
Powder and half a teaspoon of salt mix it up nice and good when we going do the chocolate chips we’ll do the chocolate chips after we mix all these two together which is our next step I’m going to pour this in there and you going to mix it all together we’re adding our liquid to the dry or you can add the dry to liquid it.
Doesn’t really matter we are going to add some chocolate chips and walnuts to ours so I have half a cup of chocolate chips and half a cup of walnuts cuz my kids aren’t a huge fan of them but I like them so add a little bit dump it all in I like I like I like you do like the that’s good all right.
Mix them up turns out to of my kids like walnuts which I did not know because their preferences change every day okay we’ve mixed in our walnuts and chocolate chips we’ve preheated the oven to 350° we’ve pre greased our loaf pan.
We’re just going to add our batter to the loaf and we’ll cook it for starting at 50 minutes and we’ll check it at that point we’re looking for a good rise and the toothpick test coming out dry oh going hit a chocolate chip I’m try again still a little damp after 50 minutes so let’s give it five.
More still a little bit moist after 55 minutes so we’re going to do five more minutes at the full hour our toothpick comes out fairly dry I think that’s good we let it cool off for about an hour let’s slice into it and see how it looks discoloration but.
Uh looks all right firm it’s not not wet inside so should be nice it’s a give to the boys and see what they think all right gray won’t you tell us what you think first got a good from great then what do you think.
On the C it’s a little crumbly so you can’t eat it on the coach that’s good to know we’ll eat it at the counter yep all right the boys told us what they thought now let’s see what I think really good.
Really not any complaints the chocolate chips and the nuts make it delicious M yeah that’s uh that’s a great banana loaf all right jack tell me what you think if you’re not going to do it then I’ll just take it yeah that’s good.
