Sharing evidence-based nutrition so that it can help your family in your gluten-free journey I just know you are going to love the three recipes I’m sharing with you today I eat these breakfasts often and I’m super excited to share them with you so the first recipe we’re going to make today is a protein packed yogurt Bowl so to make.
This recipe you only need a few things you need yogurt some protein powder some fruit and some granola now you’re going to see some brands in this um but really when it comes to a lot of these objects I’m not super brand specific and just because I have a brand I’m using does not mean that that’s necessarily the best brand honestly most of these things.
Are just things I picked up at the grocery store and it’s what we had at our local grocery store so that’s what I’m using this recipe is dairy free how I’m making it I’m using dairyfree Yogurt by so delicious um I love like this brand in general because they’re certified glutenfree and they make a lot of dairyfree stuff like ice cream so I.
Really appreciate it um I will say this is not necessarily my favorite brand of yogurt and the reason why is because it has no protein so we are going to add protein to this recipe if I could eat dairy I would make this with regular yogurt hands down so the first thing we’re going to do is add protein to This Yogurt.
I’m going to do that by using protein powder today I have naked almond by naked nutrition I do like naked nutritions protein options they’re certified glutenfree as well as having a lot of certified vegan options if you care about that this is naked almond the only thing in this is almonds so this is what I’m using use whatever protein.
Powder you like if I was making this for my kids instead of using protein powder I would just use a big scoop of like my favorite nut butter or peanut butter or something like that and you are totally welcome to do that as well you do not have to go out and buy protein powder to make this.
Bowl so I’m just going to use one scoop of protein and put it into this little tiny bowl and I’m going to add some water to it and mix this up this will kind of reconstitute this protein to be almost like almond butter and it’ll make it easier to stir it into the yogurt if.
You’re using regular yogurt and you’re adding like a way based protein I do not think this stuff would be necessary it will probably mix in just fine I’m not trying to make this watery or anything I’m really just trying to reconstitute it so it’s like literally the consist consistency of a nut butter maybe a little bit.
Thinner perfect so if you can see it’s kind of like a paste so I’m going to stir that right into my yogurt in this bowl I’m a big fan of yogurt for so many reasons Dairy based yogurt as well as some plant-based yogurts have a really good amount of protein um they’re really great way to get lean protein Additionally the probiotics are.
Really good for your gut health and every single time I will recommend probiotics from an actual food source over taking a probiotic all right I’m just going to mix this in and I’ll show you how it looks when it’s done so now that our yogurt is mixed all.
Together and it’s not lumpy or anything like that I’m going to add some berries on top so I’m using sliced strawberries but honestly use any fruit you like you don’t even have to use berries use whatever you think tastes great all fruit is good for you it’s source of good antioxidants a lot of fiber that’s.
Really what we’re looking to add to this recipe to this I’m going to add just a Sprinkle of granola I’m going to use purely Elizabeth purely Elizabeth is probably the best gluten-free granola that we can find at our local store I’m going to use the blueberry hemp I really like this one it’s my favorite but to show you this is my husband’s favorite.
He loves the grainfree cinnamon peanut butter um with added MCT oil he really likes this one if you are trying to eat less sugar or you avoid oats this is a really great option for you but like I said this is what I’m going to use and there’s the bowl super simple here it is I’m going to try.
It make sure I get some strawberries with it it’s super simple it’s easy if I wasn’t talking to you the whole time I could have made this in like a minute and a half with slicing the strawberries so simple super delicious you should definitely try it especially if you’re looking for a protein.
Boost so good the next super easy breakfast recipe we’re going to make is a higher protein avocado toast so bread itself can have protein I’m going to use a whole grain gluten-free bread we still have the Rudy whole grain bread in our freezer from when we did our gluten-free bread taste test you.
Miss that you should check it out it’s right here I don’t actually know where it’s going to pop up but it will click it watch it if you’re curious my husband and I bought and taste tested nine different kinds of gluten-free bread I think it was nine Rudies taste really good but again it.
Was frozen it was in our freezer I pulled it out it’s whole grain so it has a little bit higher of a protein content in addition to using a whole grain gluten-free bread which has more protein and a little bit more fiber we are going to blend our avocado with edamame edamame is a soybean and soy is a.
Complete protein this recipe will not be as high in protein as our other two recipes because again in those recipes we’re using protein powder and things but this does add a little bit more protein we’re also going to be using avocado for a little bit of healthy fat so I’m going to show you how I make the spread for this avocado toast I.
Currently have two slices of gluten-free bread in the oven on air fryer setting we do not have a toaster so while that’s toasting up I’m going to mix this edamame with probably about a fourth of this avocado this is left over from yesterday and I’m going to add a little bit of garlic salt and blend it together in my processor you could Mash these.
With a fork but these are kind of hard I mean they’re thawed these were frozen I thawed them out in the fridge overnight it’s just I like it really smooth but you could totally mash it with a fork and that would be less dishes at least not faster but less dishes and I respect that so excuse my lighting there’s Shadows I don’t know.
How to fix it so I’m going to throw just about a four of this avocado right into there to that I’m going to add my edamame and a tiny bit of garlic salt no that was kind of a lot of garlic salt that’s all right we’re going to pulse this up we’ll scrape it.
Down and we’ll blend it again all right I blended it a few times you can see it came together pretty quickly depending on your edamame if it’s a little bit dry add a little splash of lemon juice or a tiny bit of water just to get it blending together but this is the perfect consistency for me so we’re.
Going to go ahead and assemble I have my two pieces of toast out of the air fryer see the air fryer air fryer makes toast if I had a knife I would scrape so you could hear but yeah toast I also sliced up a little bit of cucumber so I have my avocado mixture just going to put a bit on each one and we’re going to spread it.
Out and if you want to add some toppings I love cucumber on mine I love the like refreshing crunch it gives so I’m going to put that on top for mine I also really like radishes on this I don’t know if it’s just the color but I also like just the I don’t want to say radishes are spicy but you know what I.
Mean I love that flavor on it but I am all out of radishes other things that would taste really good on this tomato would be good red onion or pickled red onion would be delicious um and then I’m just going to put a little bit of black pepper on top and that’s my protein avocado toast that look good if you want a.
Little bit more protein if that edamame is not enough to reach your protein goals I think that’s only like five to 9 gr depending on how much you use um and depending on how much protein’s in your bread if you want a little bit more protein and you eat meat I would heat up a couple of turkey sausage links or chicken sausage they have a couple.
Gluten-free options in the frozen section um and I would heat up like two of those to eat with this but yeah so before I go clean all this up I’m going to take a bite cuz it looks really good it’s so good like I know avocado toast is like so trendy and stuff but this is good and if.
You like avocado toast I encourage you to try the edamame with it cuz honestly I don’t really taste it I just have delicious avocado flavor coming through so this is really good now for our final recipe I couldn’t make a whole video on glutenfree high protein breakfast recipes without doing a shake right when we’re talking about.
Easy you throw it in the blender and you can walk out the door when I am running out the door this is my number one breakfast recipe not necessarily this flavor in variety but some type of smoothie with added protein that’s what I do I’m very picky about my protein I don’t like chalky protein no one likes that so in this.
Recipe I’m going to use my naked shake this was gifted to me by naked Nutrition a while ago I really like it they’re not sponsoring this video or anything um but I think it’s good it’s their chocolate vegan protein I have not tried any of their whey protein but I love that they make this have a complete full amino acid profile which is awesome this is.
The chocolate protein I’m using um to make this chocolate peanut butter shake I’m going to use pb2 use any type of peanut flour that you like or defatted peanut butter maybe what it’s called it’s called a couple different things there’s a couple different brands naked nutrition I believe has a brand as well um this is just what they had at Walmart.
And I grabbed the last time I was there alternatively if it fits with your nutrition goals just use straight up peanut butter great option but this is what I’m going to use is pb2 I’m going to add some cinnamon some ice soy milk soy milk is higher in protein than I think any other alternative milk um and frozen.
Banana so I know all the jokes like don’t freeze your bananas you’re not going to make banana bread but like if you make smoothies you use them and my family like we use frozen bananas like no one’s business so I’m going to assemble it follow along with me super easy like like so fast we’re going to make this in real time here we go I have.
My blender container and we’re just going to literally dump everything in got ice going do one frozen banana one serving of this protein powder is Two Scoops but do whatever is one serving for your protein powder again I’m doing 2 tablespoons of defatted peanut butter or peanut flour.
Pb2 whatever you want to call it feel free just use regular peanut butter I’m adding some cinnamon I think that makes it really yummy and about half a cup of soy milk again if you don’t have to be dairyfree just use regular milk and we’re going to blend this up and again the lighting is crazy today.
I think it’s all the snow that we got it’s just like reflecting and crazy right I’m going to put it on smoothie mode and I’m going to let it go it’s super thick super delicious I have to scrape it out honestly how do all these like influencers and stuff get a Perfect Pour.
They must do this like 10 times like look at this I tried so hard and there’s stuff like all down the side of my glass crazy but yeah here’s the shake looks good so there you go gluten-free Foodies there are three super easy breakfast recipes that are high protein you can.
