Balancing Sustainable Living with Healthy Habits
In the realm of gluten-free living, there are numerous creative approaches to maintain a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle. One popular method is meal prepping, which allows individuals to plan and prepare their meals in advance, ensuring that they stay on track with their dietary goals. By organizing gluten-free meals ahead of time, individuals can save both time and effort during the week, making it easier to stick to a gluten-free diet while enjoying delicious and nutritious food.
Thrift shopping has also gained popularity as a sustainable and economical way to enhance one’s lifestyle. It not only provides a unique opportunity to discover one-of-a-kind items but also encourages a more environmentally conscious approach to consumption. In addition to thrifting, starting a garden is another rewarding activity that promotes self-sufficiency and a deeper connection to the food we consume. Growing your own produce can be particularly beneficial for those following a gluten-free diet, as it allows for the cultivation of fresh, organic vegetables and herbs right at home.

Beautiful. Good morning everyone and welcome back to my channel. My name is Natasha. If you’re new, today I am heading out the door and going to pick up some things off of Marketplace. I’m heading to Abbottzford to pick up this portable shower kit and a couple other things. So, I will show you guys once I pick up the items. Let’s.
Go. So, I ended up picking up all my things from Marketplace. I’ll show you guys them that when we get home. But now I am stopping at a Salvation Army thrift store that I’ve never stopped at before. Um, yeah. So, let’s go see what they have in store. So, I just got out of the thrift store.
And I end up I just got out of the thrift store and I just ended up finding a new pair of Lululemon leggings. This color is so pretty and it’s size four, which is my size, which is nice. And yeah, I always look for the little logos when I’m thrift shopping and that worked out. And then on Marketplace today, I picked up this.
Patagonia long sleeve as well as some UGG slippers that I wanted an auction. I got I ended up getting these for six bucks, so not too bad. And they’re basically still brand new. And the real star of the show that I got the big one, it’s this. It’s called Rinse Kit Plus. It’s basically it can fit two gallons of water in here. And.
Then uh it’s basically a hose. And I wanted to get this because when I go on a lot of hikes with Luca, he gets super muddy. He’s a dog. He’s going to do it and I let him do it. But I normally just bring like water bottles and things like that just to wash him off. So that’s going to be super nice to have. For lunch today, I.
Have the last little bit of lasagna as well as I have a cup of green juice. So, today we’re doing some gardening and I’m so excited. I have two planter boxes there and then two here that I’m working with. They’re 2 feet by 3 ft. And I will show you some plants that we’re going to plant in there today. I also have two of these hanging.
Baskets and I bought two strawberry plants to go in there. I got a jalapeno plant and a mixed pepper and some garlic. You sniffing it. No, you can sniff it. Only sniffs. And then over here, I have a blueberry plant that we’ve gotten blueberries every year so far. And there’s been This is year two.
I ended up planting all of my garlic cloves and I have some seed trays coming that I’ll do for my cherry tomatoes and my heirloom beef steak to tomatoes in this plot. Um I’m going to do some basil plants, some arugula, and then I have some jalapeno peppers and some mixed peppers. And on Wednesday, I’m going to use these.
Stakes to make uh structure for them to grow up of. I didn’t do anything in these pots, but uh eventually when I do my seeds this coming Wednesday, I’ll bring you guys along on the process for that. This is my blueberry bush. It’s still going to be the same. I have to look because I’m.
Wanting to plant some mint in this bush, but I’m not sure if blueberries and mint go together. So, going to check that and might be planting mint in there. And then up here, I have my strawberry plants. I have one and two. I just filled up one of Luca’s treat.
Jars. I like buying all his treats in bulk if I can. And if they’re single ingredient, even better. Do you want one? You’re so patiently waiting. Spin. Sit. Gentle. Good.
Boy. He’s taking it to his favorite spot, his mat. I’m also going to top up his freeze-dried salmon bites. This one Sit.
Wait. Go. Good morning everyone. Welcome to the next day. Oh my gosh, my brain is everywhere this morning. Today is Tuesday. Uh yesterday I did some gardening and some errands and I had a lot of fun. Um the next couple days I’m going to be doing some gardening, like a.
Little bit each day. Tomorrow is going to be a big gardening day because we’re actually taking our truck and we’re gonna get a ton of dirt for my parents and then we have to I live in a complex in the corner. So, what we have to do is go to like the middle of the complex and then we walk along the edge of everyone’s. We have to wheelbarrow.
Every single load of dirt. But we’ve done this the last 2 years and I’ve counted all the wheelbarrows and it normally takes 14 back and forths and then it’s finished. Then the full garden bed’s done. I already grabbed some dirt for my veggie garden which top tier. I’m already starting to plant all of those. I have seedling trays coming on.
Wednesday. So I’ll plant that with you guys on Thursday. So overall just like a really fun gardening week. Uh, today I am I got up, I went on my run. I didn’t film any of it. I feel like sometimes it can be super repetitive, so I like to kind of incorporate that like one morning into the vlog depending on how often I choose to film. Anyways, so this.
Morning I did that and now I’ve fed Luca breakfast. I had a quick breakfast. You hear some noise? It’s the water boiling for tea. And now I’m going to head out to my parents garage and sort all of our bottles. This is something I haven’t done in a really long time, so there’s a large quantity, but my dad uh just.
Recently retired and he’s going to help me today, which is nice. And then we’re going to go to Home Depot because he has to pick up some things that we’re going to be using tomorrow in the garden. So, lots of fun today and then after that, that’s kind of like a morning thing. Should only take an hour or two hours and then when I come home, I’m going to.
Do my meal prep for the week. I didn’t have time yesterday to do it, but that’s the joys of making your own schedule. You can move things around and you just have to go with the flow. I still got all my things I needed to do uh yesterday. I got my video edited. I got my thumbnail done and that’s scheduled to open uh upload actually this morning.
It should be up when I’m filming this cuz it’s 8:22 and I normally schedule them 8:00 a.m. on Tuesdays. Sometimes I’ll schedule them on Fridays, but I really try that Tuesday upload. And fingers crossed that I’m going to be incorporating some more like thrift um store content into my everyday life. So, I’ll make sure to incorporate that.
In too. So, let’s go organize some bottles. I always like to sort all my bottles in my garage before I go to the bottle depot. So, today I’m going to be doing some meal prep, hence my apron. And I’m just going to jump right into it cuz there’s quite a few things we have to do. So, let’s.
Go. All right. I like it. I have some cranberry jalapeno turkey meatballs that I’m going to add to my breakfast boxes. And then I have the hash browns crispen up in.
here. Right now I’m heating up some water almost boiled for some spaghetti noodles. And then I have my cabbage and carrots, my leftover whole chicken from this weekend cut up, and then some garlic. And currently I’m making my sauce for my chicken chowine. I have some better than bullion uh chicken.
Stock that I’m going to make here. And then I’m going to assemble the sauce. And now I’m going to put all of these things together in here to make the sauce. I just took the hash browns out. I have my turkey jalapeno balls. And now I can finish my breakfast boxes. Hash browns. And now I can add.
The meatballs. Breakfast boxes have been completed. The sauce has thickened up nicely. Now I’m going to add the cabbage, the chicken, and the noodles back in with the sauce. Cabbage. chicken and the noodles. Now we.
Mix. And now that everything’s been mixed, I can put them in their meal prep containers for the week. Now I can fill up the chicken chow main box. The chicken chow mane boxes have been completed. In these boxes, I’m going to be making um putting some veggies in here just so it’s a quick, easy, ready.
To go during the week. This is currently our favorite hummus right now. And now the veggie boxes are complete. I have some hummus, broccoli, cucumber, peppers, and carrots. Now I’m going to fill up four of these boxes with salad and micro greens, and one of them with cooked.
Garlic butter shrimp. I actually have enough spinach to do five boxes. So now I’m going to do this and add the micro greens. I’ve peeled and devained the shrimp and now we’re going to fry them up quick. I’ve put some Mkos dairyfree butter in my pan and I’m going to wait for that to.
Melt. Added the garlic. Now I’m going to mix it together and wait for the butter to get a little bit brown. The shrimps have been completed. An empty sink when you finish meal prep is the best. And a dishwasher that’s been turned on. And a Luca.
I just started eating and then I remembered I didn’t show you guys. So, I’m eating one of my breakfast boxes today. I have beef bacon, the cranberry jalapeno meatballs, um some hash browns, and some eggs. And then I’m finishing off my tea that I made this morning. Good morning, everyone. It is the next day. It’s.
Currently Wednesday, and we are actually doing a whole bunch of gardening work today. We’re going to head to a landscaping place and pick up a truck bed full of dirt. And then I’m going to be helping my dad and my boyfriend wheel bear it to the backyard. And then we’re going to be planting our tomatoes, putting up our steaks for our peppers.
So overall, it’ll be a super fun gardening day. So I’ll bring you guys along. The back of the truck bed has been emptied and then we have a tarp to put on the end afterwards. Cheers. just planted our pepper mix plants. One, two, three. And now up here I have the supports for the jalapenos. And now we’re going to plant.
Those. So on the left we have all of our pepper plants and on the right we have our jalapeno plants. And now we all all I have to do is uh tie them to the support pole and then they can grow all the way up. So, we just finished the first load of dirt and my dad decided he want another one. So, we’re either going to try to.
Get half a yard or another full yard. Luckily, it only took us like 45 minutes and 14 wheelbarrows to bring it to our backyard, which is kind of exciting. So, let’s do it all over again. round too. What do you want? Are you all wrapped up like a little bun? Is it just a shepherd head?.
No heat.
